A COUPLE OF THINGS TO PONDER OVER THE LONG WEEK-END

Yes, it is important that all of us do what we would normally do on a long weekend, that is prior to the tyrannical government action of the last 14 or 15 months. If you would have associated with family and friends at small or large gatherings, do so. If you would have traveled, do so. If you would have worn some superfluous face covering, do so. If you would not have worn that superfluous face covering, do not. The one thing I would suggest each of us do that we might not normally have done, is to ponder some important questions.
The first question I would suggest we give a great deal of thought, comes with an explanation before the question.
The explanation: We have two basic philosophical concepts pertaining to government and its proper place. We have the concept of individualism. This is the basis upon which the United States was founded. Individualism believes that each individual must be free to make their own decisions and must be willing to accept the consequences of those decisions. Individualism stresses small and limited government. Individualism is a non-racist philosophy where people are respected as individuals and are not relegated to preconceived distinctions because of any physical or sociological distinctions. People who are not willing to be self-reliant, who believe they are victims, and who are conformists and compliant to government dictates do poorly under individualism.
The other philosophy is collectivism. This philosophy believes we are to be identified with a group based on our physical and sociological characteristics. These people believe we are either oppressors or a part of the oppressed. If we are a part of the oppressed, we are victims and society, through the mechanism of government, must provide to us our needs and give to us special advantages. Any deemed to be an oppressor must be punished; these oppressors are selfish and totally void of compassion according to collectivists. Big and controlling government is the result of a nation adhering to collectivism. Marxism, communism, socialism, progressivism, what the Democrat party has become, are all forms of collectivism.
People have professed both philosophies. Wars have been fought because of these differences. People have died because of these differences, both as soldiers and as victims of those enforcing collectivism. What we must each ponder is which philosophy do we embrace, and would we be willing fight to maintain or bring about that philosophy, knowing that we could be killed in that fight.
If you believe that you are an individualist and you would be willing to fight, I challenge you to ponder if you are opposing the tyranny of collectivism by complaining, or are you taking positive action. If you believe in individualism, are you taking the positive action of doing what Samuel Adams did when he was leading the American fight to have our nation founded on the philosophy of individualism and that is are you a part of the irate and tireless minority “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”? If you are not, or you do not know what that means, you are aiding the movement to take freedom from us. What will you do to become a positive part of preserving our freedom?
Another question for each of us to ponder would be is the virus that was predicted to be the killer of millions, but has proven to be a flu virus, to be called the China virus, because it originated in China, or the Fauci virus because Fauci made sure the Chinese had the funds to develop the virus? Maybe it should be a combination of China and Fauci. Both China and Fauci bear substantial responsibility for this flu like virus.
The most important question for each of us to ponder is where we will spend eternity. There are two possibilities, and those possibilities are Heaven or Hell. All of us deserve Hell and are destined to spend eternity in Hell because we are all sinners. We can have our destination changed by simply admitting our sin and accepting the free gift, called grace, made possible when Jesus Christ died on a cross and by doing so paid the price for our sin. If you understand what I just said and are bound for heaven through Grace, bless you. Be sure you share the miracle of redemption with another.  If you do not understand what I said or have questions, these questions are answered in the Bible. The Gospel of John is a great place to begin your journey to secure your place in Heaven.
