I dare say a vast majority of Americans have never heard that quote, and an even greater number of Americans have no idea what Benjamin Franklin meant when he said it. This was the response Franklin gave to an individual who asked him what type of a nation and government was created. Every American should take note that Franklin did not say we had a democracy. This is critical. The vast majority of my readers understand that the United States of America was created as a Republic and not a Democracy because the founders understood that a Republican form of government protects the rights of all citizens, thus protecting freedom for all. A democracy protects the rights of the majority and eventually leads to tyranny. A tyranny is a cruel, harsh, and unfair government in which a person or small group of people have power over everyone else. The logical question would be then, “how does protecting the rights of the majority lead to tyranny and cruel, harsh, and unfair government?”
This is how it happens. Liberal members of the establishment media have found a new theme: Bash white men. An author and former executive who used to run several media companies was just caught on camera declaring that “straight, white males” not only shouldn’t vote, they should have their voting rights stripped away by the government. Well, we say “caught.” In fact, Steven Clifford openly bragged about his views during a speaking forum. “I think it’s the only hope for democracy in America and I will be leading a great movement to prohibit straight, white males, who I believe supported Donald Trump by about 85 percent, from exercising the franchise,” he declared. Bizarrely, the liberal media mogul went on to insist that banning millions of men from voting would “save our democracy.” This defines the differences in our nation today and defines why the election on Tuesday is so important. The Individualist is voting to protect the Republic which, in order to exist, must protect the rights of all, even the rights of the Collectivist. An Individualist would never propose to eliminate classes of people from voting, an Individualist would never through force, intimidation, or any other means restrict another citizen from speaking even though they disagree, an individualist would never profess indoctrination over education, an Individualist would always advocate for rule of law, limited government, divided government, and sovereignty of the people, and an Individualist will always place the rights of the individual above the perceived good of the collective. The Collectivist believes anybody that does not conform to their way of thinking should be silenced and should not be able to participate in government; and as Marx said must be eliminated or conform so society can be a harmonious with all thinking and believing the same. This is the exact reason Collectivism is “The Road To Tyranny.” The Collectivist believes in the dictatorial rule of the majority and will arrive at their desired results by employing their only mode of operation, “the ends justify the means.” The Collectivist has a short-term advantage over the Individualist in bringing about their desired results which is tyranny through democracy or bringing about a classless society that is totally conforming and totally equal. The Collectivist believes that because they use terms like social justice, they are morally superior, and they have never questioned their presumed intellectual superiority, thus the condescension and pejorative attitude so prevalent in the Collectivist movement. Collectivist is an all-encompassing term for what are known as left-wing or liberal beliefs – Marxism, Communism, Socialism, Progressives, Democrats. The Individualist is at a short-term disadvantage. The Individualist understands that if the great rights and freedoms upon which the United States was founded; that is right to life, liberty, property, and freedoms such as speech, religion, assembly, gun ownership, and right to freedom from a tyrannical government, the rights and freedoms of all must be protected, even those who oppose these very rights and freedoms that give them the right to voice opposition and present their lugubrious arguments. We have learned that the Collectivist has a long-term disadvantage because they advocate for a philosophy that has always failed, a philosophy that cannot succeed because once it becomes its inevitable end, the inner God given desire to all men to be free of tyranny prevails. This is the exact reason the individualist has the long-term advantage; God has instilled in man that desire to be free of the dictates of government as to how each individual is to live his life, what his thoughts are to be. This is the choice facing the American voter on Tuesday. Will we continue on the desired road of the Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) Party, "The Road To Tyranny" to bring the Untied States to a totally conforming and equal society through the dictates of majority rule, or will we chose freedom for all by remaining a Republic and always protecting the rights and freedoms of all, even those with whom we disagree.
