AN UNINVOLVED, UNINTERESTED, AND UNINFORMED ELECTORATE

Mayor De Blasio is an absolute failure as a mayor.  It is no secret that De Blasio is an inept mayor and a confirmed and dedicated Marxist.

Mayor Bill de Blasio is defending his policies in the face of skyrocketing crime in New York City.

It is no wonder why a neighbor, a mother of two young children, says she is thinking of moving.
“I grew up here my whole life. It is definitely changed. I do not feel safe anymore. Honestly, I felt safer in the ’80s,” she said. “I just feel like crime is up more. I mean they say it isn’t, but that’s BS.”
Actually, crime is up more. Robberies are up nearly 39%. Shootings are up nearly 29%. Transit crime is up nearly 30%, and car theft is up 72%. Burglaries are up more than 20% and larceny is up nearly 11%. New York experienced a 7.8 percent jump in murders last year.

The New York City budget has increased $20 billion since De Blasio took office. De Blasio is seeking to raise the city’s borrowing capacity to cover its operating expenses.

De Blasio has demoralized the once exemplary Police Department and Fire Department. That he is anti-law and order is no secret. De Blasio has never made it a secret that he is a die hard and dedicated Marxist.

The question is, “how would such a failed mayor get re-elected.” The answer is the same answer for many situations in the United States, we have become an uninvolved, uninterested, and uninformed electorate. Only 8.5% of residents, voted for De Blasio.

As of July 2016, there were 8,537,673 people in New York City. According to the state Board of Elections, there were 5,053,842 voters in the city as of Nov. 1, and 4,596,813 of them are considered active by the state. Out of that nearly 4.6 million active voters, reports from the New York City Board of Elections showed that 1,097,846 voted in the mayoral election. Narrowing the scope even further, only 726,361 people in New York City voted for de Blasio. In New York City, that is 8.5 percent of the population at large.

If we, the American people want to continue down the path of failure that is New York City under De Blasio, remain, uninvolved, uninformed, and uninvolved and you will get your wish.
