AND NOW YOU KNOW THE REAL REASON PELOSI DOES NOT WANT STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking to move the day of the State of the Union address or deliver it in writing, citing security concerns from the ongoing government shutdown.
 
"Sadly, given the security concerns and unless government re-opens this week, I suggest we work together to determine another suitable date after government has re-opened for this address or for you to consider delivering your State of the Union address in writing to the Congress on January 29," Pelosi writes in the letter dated Wednesday.
 
Pelosi’s really wants the State of the Union delivered in writing as it was done prior to 1913.  Collectivist Wilson was the first head of state to deliver the State of the Union live to Congress.

The formal basis for the State of the Union Address is from the U.S. Constitution:

The President “shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.” Article II, Section 3, Clause 1.
 
After the president gives his address, the opposing party now delivers a formal response.  This tradition began in 1966 under than head of state Lyndon B. Johnson.
 
Herein lies the real problem for Pelosi.  Rumor has it that the Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) Party had chosen Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to appear together at a podium in front of American flags and offer the formal response.  You can understand why Pelosi really wants President Trump to go back to the days prior to collectivist Woodrow Wilson and give a written State of the Union address.
