BEST HEALTHCARE SOLUTION

In reading the United States Constitution, I do not see where we the people said the federal government should design a healthcare plan and provide healthcare for its citizens or illegal aliens residing within the United States borders.  HEALTHCARE IS NOT A RIGHT BUT AN ENTITLEMENT.  A right is granted by the Creator and an entitlement is granted by government.  A right of an individual is theirs and is not contingent on taking something for somebody else so the right can be provided.  An entitlement always requires that something be taken from another so the benefit can be received by another.  In order for healthcare to be provided through the government, the government must take the property of another citizen and redistribute it to the recipient; thus, healthcare is an entitlement and not a right.

I also do not read in the United States Constitution where the government is to become a charity, taking from one to supply entitlements to others.  The intent of the founders was just the opposite.

“To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.”  Thomas Jefferson

“The government of the United States is a definite government, confined to specified objects. It is not like the state governments; whose powers are more general. Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government.” James Madison

President Trump has promised a redo of the unconstitutional Obamacare program, which is a good thing.  President Trump has stated his program will:

Trump said that the Republican plan would be far better than Obamacare, citing impossibly high premiums and deductibles. He also argued that the Republican plan would be better than Democrat promises of “Medicare for all” which would cause Americans to lose their private health insurance.

“It will be truly great HealthCare that will work for America,” he wrote. “Also, Republicans will always support Pre-Existing Conditions.”

What should the new plan be if it is to follow the intent of the United States Constitution and be a truly great plan.  The new plan should promise that the federal government will very soon have no role in the program.  Healthcare will be totally returned to the private sector.  The limitations of programs being limited to single states should be removed as it is in other insurance plans such as auto and life.  The federal government should totally remove itself from any role in the Medicaid program.  Each state should determine if it wants such a program and then administer the plan accordingly.  The federal government should also start to remove itself from the Medicare program over time.  If the states wish to have a Medicare style program, that would be their choice.

Ronald Reagan stated in the early 1960’s that a national health care plan for the elderly was totally unnecessary as well under 10% of the elderly had no access to healthcare.  Reagan stated that any national healthcare program would be an entitlement or charity and would be determinantal to the overall healthcare in the nation.  He was correct.

The federal government has two primary roles: protect the citizens from foreign enemies and maintain law and order within its borders.  The federal government has no constitution right to redistribe property through taxation and entitlements or any other method nor does the federal government have a constitutional right to control the lives and thoughts of the citizen.  Any time the federal government has assumed any of these roles, it has raised costs and damaged the freedom and liberty of the people.  Please President Trump understand that government programs always result in waste, fraud, higher costs, and diminished services in any endeavor.  Private industry is always the best solution.  Your healthcare plan should reflect these facts and thus its primary goal should be to place healthcare totally in the hands of private industry.
