Because the Constitution is no longer taught in the upper grades, high school, colleges and universities, and most law schools, Americans have a disturbing understanding as to what is a law. The misunderstanding of law in the United States is what our founders sought to avoid. The way Americans understand law today is critical for a successful transformation of the United States, as is being done by the left and promised by Obama, from a nation of individual freedom and liberty to a Marxist totalitarian state. To bring about totalitarianism, it is critical that the people are conditioned to obey any decree issued by anybody that assumes a position of authority. That was not the intent of the founders.
Communists have used this principle, that the people must obey what the state authority declares to be the law, in their implementation of a Marxist totalitarian state. The Democrats are using the same means today to bring about the same ends. To avoid this very thing, our founders adopted our Constitution to protect the people from an aspiring tyrannical force, the very force the Democrat party is today. Article I Section 1 of the United States Constitution: “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” What this means is that the only part of the government that can make new laws, abolish existing laws, or change existing laws, is the congress. The Executive or President was given no authority to make law. The Judicial Branch was given no authority to make law. This means that Executive Orders are not law. This means that opinions rendered by the Courts are not law. Over the years, the people of the United States have been conditioned to believe that because the President says something such as you must wear a mask, it is the law. Constitutionally, it is not a law and should carry no more weight than that of a suggestion. When the Supreme Court says that it is OK to murder an unborn child, that is not the law, but is simply an opinion. More importantly, this opinion of a group of people wearing black robes, does not in any way exempt any person from the law of God, which says, “Though shall not murder.” When a people come to believe that a President can declare law, or a group of appointed justices can make a law, they have become conditioned to accept a tyrannical government. These people have been conditioned to accept the declaration of one or a small group of unelected people to have the authority to declare anything as the law of the land. When this happens, the nation has moved from a Constitutional Republic to a totalitarian state. When we are about doing our critical and patriotic duty of, “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”, we must understand this critical concept between freedom and tyranny. We must understand that by the founders stating that only our elected representatives in Congress can make law, they were protecting us from the very thing that is happening in the United States today; and that is the United States being transformed into a Marxist totalitarian state. When “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”, ask questions such as, who in the United States can make law, why is this important, do you agree with this idea or should an individual or small group of unelected people have the authority to declare law, how do you define tyranny, and do you support freedom or tyranny? Remember, when “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”, it is not our goal to change another person’s mind, we cannot. We can simply set a spark that will initiate the other person to think and change their own mind that freedom is superior to slavery.
