This is such a key statement. The Democrat party no longer holds American Values is a statement of fact. If we define American values as the values based upon which our nation was founded, the statement is irrefutable. The United States was founded as an individualist nation with a capitalist economic system. The Democrat party believes in collectivist (Marxist, communist, socialist, progressive, - all virtually the same) ideals with a socialist economic system and central planning as opposed to a free market.
The United States was to be a nation that adhered to rule of law. The Democrat party believes in arbitrary law. Rule of law believes that justice is blind and applies the law equally regardless of the social, economic, or political position of the defendant. Rule of law was thrown to the wind under the Obama regime and the deep state FBI and Intelligence agencies of the regime. It came obvious to all when Hillary Clinton was exonerated by the FBI, even though they stated she had broken the law. It become obvious when the Clinton foundation openly, with the than Secretary of State, required payment for favors. It has been made obvious by the revelations of the General Flynn case and we see it ran to the top puppeteer himself, Obama.
The United States was to be a nation with a limited government. The Democrat party has, especially since Woodrow Wilson, taken every opportunity, some real and some manufactured, to increase the power of government and reduce the liberty of the individual. The founders understood and told us that government that governs least governs best. Nevertheless, the Democrats, who are not Americans, believe as do all collectivists, (Marxists, communists, socialists, progressives, - all virtually the same) that all power should be in the hands of the government and the only liberty the people should have is that which the government is willing to surrender, only so long as the individuals treat that liberty in the manner dictated by the government.
The United States was to be a nation with a divided government. Power was specifically divided between the people, the states, and the federal government, with only the power of the federal government being limited. The Democrats believe all power is to be in the hands of the Federal government and none should be in the hands of the people. The Democrats further believe that making law is not to be done solely in the legislative branch as dictated by the United States Constitution, but can also be made through regulation and executive order in the executive branch, and can be made by rendering of an opinion by the judicial branch. The Democrats have demonstrated time after time that the means that advances the country to their desired ends is acceptable and appropriate regardless of the United States Constitution.
The United States was the first nation to be founded on the basis of the people being the sovereign and the government being the servant. The Democrats have advocated that more and more power be transferred to the hands of the government; that the government become the sovereign. This has been made so abundantly clear in the last several months, where mayors, governors, and bureaucrats have assumed the role of sovereign by dictating how the people are to live. It is these who have assumed the role of sovereign who have determined if people can pursue happiness by working, if people can go outside, who people can see, and yes even how people are to think. This total domination over the lives of the individual has been supported and advanced by the Democrat Party, even to the point where they are advocating that each American be traced as to their every activity.
The United States was to be a nation where the people were free and their natural rights and liberties were to be protected by the United States Constitution, and the only role government was to have was to protect those natural rights and liberties. The Democrats believe it is government that defines natural rights and is the sole purveyor of such rights determining what if any rights and liberties the people can have. The Democrats, as do all collectivists (Marxists, communists, socialists, progressives, - all virtually the same) belief that all power lies with the government and the people’s role is to serve that government. They advance the ideal of total conformity to one doctrine and that all are equal as to their definition of equality. Any who would disagree with either of the above are enemies of the “people” and will be demonized, segregated, or eliminated.
The Democrat of today is not an American, when American is defined as:
“If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” Founding Father Samuel Adams
"The Constitution only guarantees you the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself." Benjamin Franklin
This is not American but summarizes the goal of the Democrat Party:
"Democracy means equality. The great significance of the proletariat's struggle for equality and of equality as a slogan will be clear if we correctly interpret it as meaning the abolition of classes. But democracy means only formal equality. And as soon as equality is achieved for all members of society in relation to ownership of the means of production, that is, equality of labor and wages, humanity will inevitably be confronted with the question of advancing father, from formal equality to actual equality, i.e., to the operation of the rule “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs”. Lenin
