IF THIS IS NOT A POLICE STATE, WHAT IS

Leftists have always believed they can better run people’s lives than can the people.  They have advocated that the state or the collective must dictate to the individual what is best for them.  This is the essence of collectivism (Marxism, communism, socialism, progressive, Democrat, all virtually the same).  Collectivism is the enemy of individualism, socialism is the enemy of capitalism, communism is the enemy of freedom, and Democrats are the enemy of the United States Constitution and the freedom and liberty it protects.

From the early 20th century the collectivist movement has been alive and well in the United States.  Woodrow Wilson was a proponent of collectivism and the state controlling the people.  Franklin Roosevelt, a head of state who had known communists in the highest echelons of his administration including Harry Hopkins, akin to Obama and Valarie Jarrett, promoted the power of the state over the individual, even to the point of the state dictating the chicken the individual could choose.  And we had Barack Obama advance this theory to an even higher level as he touted that Government is the friend of the people, exactly the opposite of our founding fathers who wrote the United States Constitution to protect the people from the evil of government.

President Trump was elected primarily because he promised he would arrest the massive usurpation of liberty and freedom by the government.  What we are learning is that this can only occur when the people will become Americans again and demand that government plays its proper role, which is being a servant.  Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."  Is this the point America has reached, the point where we no longer deserve liberty or safety?

These two examples took place in the United States recently.  It is however, becoming more and more common for governors, mayors, sheriffs, judges and others who have tasted power and belief their thirst to exercise this power in despotic means supersedes the Untied States Constitution.

Coronavirus stay-at-home orders are getting severe in some parts of the country.

We've seen cops break up driving parades and ticket people on leisurely drives for violating governors' commands to not leave their homes — despite not coming in contact with others.

There are ongoing threats of fines and jail time for those who would dare leave their homes for non-pre-approved reasons. Everybody from pro-life protesters to paddleboarders to pastors have seen what happens when you violate commands to isolate.

And now judges have ordered at least four people in Louisville, Kentucky, to wear ankle bracelets for repeatedly refusing to isolate themselves after being in contact with coronavirus patients, CNN reported.

Two of the people fitted with the monitors have not tested positive for coronavirus.

Citations were issued to 22 people found near the beach in Encinitas for violating the state’s stay at home order, authorities announced Saturday morning.

The tickets were issued Friday to people who “were watching the sunset, having picnics near the beach,” according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

“Everyone is required to stay home, except to get food, care for a relative or friend, get necessary health care or go to an essential job,” a sheriff's department tweeted Saturday morning. “Complacency is the enemy. Take social distancing more seriously to stop coronavirus.”  (This statement could have come from Lenin, Hitler, Mao, or all three.)

The violations carry fines of up to $1,000 or six months in jail or both, the department said.

People will say, but Don it is for our safety that we surrender our liberties to the dictates of the state.

Need I remind you, Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
