July 4th has different meanings to different people.
Independence Day is the day America declared we will be an independent people. We believe our unalienable rights were given to us by our Creator and not by man or government. We are therefore Individualists who believe all people have the right to pursue their happiness, but society and government owe them nothing. We Americans went on to declare that the pillars of our free, independent, and Individualist nation will be rule of law, limited government, divided government and sovereignty by the people. We Americans understood that government is the enemy of freedom, independence, and individualism. Although government is a necessary evil, true Americans will never depend on government nor will they ever trust government, insisting on limited government and totally transparent government. Our public indoctrination system no longer teaches these realities to our children and most Americans do not understand what this holiday symbolizes, even many of those who wear red, white, and blue, and wave our flag. This is very sad. To many Americans, those known as Marxist/Progressives (Democrats), the reality of what Independence Day represents is the antithesis of their beliefs. This group of people oppose Individualism and believe in Collectivism (communism, socialism, and progressiveness). They believe in arbitrary law, big government, power concentrated and not divided, and sovereignty of government. We are a divided people. Independence Day is however, a great day for all Freedom Loving Americans to plant brushfires of freedom in the minds of their family members and friends. Remember, do not argue, just plant the ideas of what Independence Day really represents. HAVE A WONDERFUL AND FUN FILLED JULY 4TH.
