That our Freedom and Liberty is being threatened is beyond debate. The call for anarchy, the call for our Natural Rights and liberties to be under the control of government where government has the right to control, limit, or abolish any or all of our Natural Rights or Liberties has been prevalent for many years and must be at or near a crescendo. Yes, we can blame many people like ANTIFA, BLM, and at the top of the list the Democrat Party, and we would not be wrong. But to blame them will not solve the problem. Even though they are at the head of the charge; they are not the root of the problem.
I recently posted on YouTube, a talk I have been giving. It is based on my book, “The Road to Tyranny.” You can watch it if you go to YouTube and search Don Jans. The talk is entitled “Two Roads Diverged.” This is a comment I received from a person that actually watched it. “Wow! You reminded me of so much of our history that I had forgotten. What a great country those men and women worked so hard to leave to us. I hope the laws etc. that they made will stand up during this very difficult time we are going through. Do you feel we will go the way of socialism even though our laws were written not to? Your lecture was great, and I am going to watch it again.” This comment reveals the exact reason I wrote the book, the exact reason I gave the talk, and the exact reason I recorded it and posted it. We Freedom Loving Americans have forgotten our history, and in so doing have lost sight of the reasons our founders did what they did. We revolted from a government that was a tyrannical government, and the structure of our government; a Republic, individualism as the foundation, rule of law, limited government, divided government, and the people as sovereign with the government as servant was done specifically to protect Freedom and Liberty from those who seek tyranny. It is for this very reason that our schools have been transformed into indoctrination centers that indoctrinate all that what the founders did was bad because they were flawed people. This indoctrination is telling Americans that the way of tyranny is best. Of course, they do not state it as such, but as all good collectivists have done, they cloak the evil they profess in the concept of equality, fairness, and political correctness. In the statement, I was asked if I believe we will go the way of socialism even though our laws are written to prevent us from becoming a tyrannical state. My answer is that depends. The American people have come to believe that the government is the answer to fix problems. A free society with liberty and freedom can only exist under a structure designed by our founders. We have moved way beyond that structure. Let me explain: The concept of collectivism, as opposed to individualism, is now politically correct. This is perhaps best demonstrated in the idea that all people should subjugate their aspirations, goals, and dreams to what the community or collective demands, the cancel culture. Rule of law is no longer practiced by our courts, but arbitrary law is now the practice with judges ruling for political purposes and ignoring the law and the Constitution. Limited government is a thing of the past with people from all political persuasions calling on the federal government to intervene in any and all situations. Divided government has changed dramatically with the branch of government that was intended to be the weakest, the judicial branch, not only ruling on disputes but legislating and administering and as such is the dominant branch. And the people have abdicated their sovereignty and willingly have become servants to a sovereign government. Continuing on the same road we are currently traveling, there is no escaping collectivism (Marxism, communism, socialism, progressive, Democrat, - all virtually the same). The only way that outcome can be avoided is if those of us who love Freedom and Liberty face the problem in which we find ourselves openly and honestly. We Freedom Loving Americans are the very reason we find ourselves in this position. Yes, we allowed it to happen. We must then reverse it. Freedom Loving Americans must remind themselves of our history and why the founders did what they did. We Freedom Loving Americans must also make sure our children, grandchildren, and others we have influence understand the same. Along this same line, we must change our schools. Ultimately, the federal government must totally remove itself from any role in education and any and all public employee unions must be eliminated or minimized. We Freedom Loving Americans must become involved in all aspects of government with an initial all out effort to having Freedom Loving Americans elected to school boards, city and county positions, and state governments. Once elected, we must remove government from controlling the lives and thoughts of the people. Ronald Reagan told us, “I know it is a hell of a challenge, but if not us who, if not now, when?”
