NEWSOM AND HIS LAME EXCUSES

We lived through it, Newsom. You should have known what you claim you did not know. Many experts were telling you what you were doing was wrong. All the evidence showed that masks were worthless. All the evidence showed that Ivermectin worked. All the evidence showed that churches could be open. All the evidence showed that schools could and should be open. All the evidence showed that closing businesses was wrong. You proved you knew all of the above when you took your friends to the French Laundry and violated all the rules you were imposing on the people of California.
You would now like the people to forgive and forget.
Gov. Gavin Newsom said criticism of California’s tough Covid-19 restrictions was valid and he would have taken an entirely different approach, given what he knows now about the pandemic.
“I think we would’ve done everything differently,” Newsom said in a taped interview set to air on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday.
“I think all of us in terms of our collective wisdom, we’ve evolved. We didn’t know what we didn’t know. We’re experts in hindsight. We’re all geniuses now.”
Later in the interview Newsom responded to criticism of his state’s decisions by saying: “All of it’s legitimate in terms of reflection.”
The evidence that what Newsom was doing was wrong was readily available. For instance, DeSantis took the opposite approach in Florida and the numbers in Florida were better than those in California. I use Florida because of Newsom’s decision to criticize Florida. Other states that took the same approach as Florida also had better numbers than California.
Newsom, and other leftist governors ignored the experts, ignored the facts, and ignored common sense. They chose to be dictators. They relished the power they exercised. Now the excuses.
