Nikki Haley came in third in the Iowa Caucuses and somehow saw this as a win as she moved on to New Hampshire. In New Hampshire where people can change party affiliation to vote in the primary, she finished second. Trump won by an 11% margin. 70% of Haley’s votes were from those who switched to the Republican party but said they would not support a Republican in November. Haley claimed victory and said the result showed she has a path to victory. That sounds like rationalization with no reality.
On to Nevada. The Democrats in the State of Nevada declared that Nevada will now be a primary state. The Republicans said that was fine, but they would still hold a caucus to determine how the delegates for choosing the Republican Presidential Candidate would be assigned. In the primary, Donald Trump was not on the ballot. He is on the caucus ballot. Nikki Haley was running against nobody or “none of the above in the primary. Nobody, or “none of the above” defeated Haley by 30 points. So far, I have seen no reaction from Nikki.
In her home state of South Carolina, where she served as governor, she is trailing Trump by 30 points. She predicted that she would win her home state. That seems to be highly unlikely.
When will she drop out of the race? When will the Democrats and the Never Trumpers stop funding her campaign? When will the Democrats and the Never Trumpers determine that Haley’s campaign is not hurting Trump, which is their only reason for continuing? If anything, her campaign is helping Trump.
Nikki Haley, you did not have a path to the nomination when you began your campaign and you certainly do not have one now. You have damaged yourself. The longer you continue your charade, the more you damage yourself.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
