REPUBLICAN ESTABLISHMENT IS IN A QUANDARY

The Republican establishment is unsure how to handle the current McCarthy situation. For the last couple of decades at least the Republican establishment had conducted business the same way the Democrats conduct business; that is, they lied to gain power and then returned to their old ways of spending and growing government while taking liberty and freedom from the people.
The Republican establishment is learning that Freedom Loving Americans have had enough of this game. Freedom Loving Americans, often referred to as MAGA, have learned from Trump that indeed we can and must fight if we are to stop the transformation movement.
McCarthy said and signed whatever he had to so he could become Speaker. This was simply business as usual. Ryan, Boehner, and McConnell had done this for years; that is, they promised to cut spending and government, promised to support rule of law, and promised to uphold the Constitution, knowing that they could revert to their old ways, their true leanings as soon as they were sworn into the position they sought.
McCarthy played that game. He has broken his promises. He gave the Democrats an unlimited debt ceiling, he refused to honor his pledge of avoiding CR’s by doing actual budgeting, and he is hindering the impeachments he promised to support. Freedom Loving Americans are not saying business as usual. They are saying “let your yes be yes and your no be no.”
The Republican establishment is unsure of how to handle the situation. They have reverted to being Democrats as they usually have, and are now name calling and attempting to punish those who simply are saying that you are now accountable for your promises. Who wins this fight will determine to a large extent if the transformation is reversed or if it is honored and the United States continues its current path down “The Road to Tyranny.”
