We can not discuss this enough. If enough people are aware and understand the consequences, perhaps we could even have a positive result.
In all situations like we are facing now with the hysteria and fright of a situation that has been proven time after time to be totally overstated, the result is more and more government control. In the 20th century we had the recession that became the great depression of the 1930’s. People elected a big government can solve all problems to be our head of state. FDR greatly expanded the power and control of government while negating the free market and capitalism along with individual ingenuity and creativity. FDR claimed that it was government that could and should solve all problems. He was wrong. It is the free market and individuals that can and should solve all problems. The nation of the United States has suffered from that FDR mentality ever since.
What we know is the big government solutions of FDR extended and deepened the economic problems. At the end of FDR’s second term the unemployment rate was more severe than when he took office, and the United States was in a deep recession heading toward another depression. While the world was thrown into a terrible war, FDR was saved and given credit for recovery. The facts reveal that it was Americans going back to work to produce supplies for Great Britain to combat Germany that took our economy out of the doldrums produced by the policies of FDR. The result of the FDR policies for the United States was a huge national debt and government regulations and control of private industry that would hamper the United States to this very day.
We saw the banking crisis of 2008. Again, the answer was government debt and control. The result was again an economic downturn that was deepened and extended because of government interference with the United States having its national debt doubled and more and more regulations that stifled the free marketplace for years.
President Trump greatly reduced the regulation and control of government over business and the American people and almost instantaneously our economy became the envy of the world. The virus struck and government took control of the lives of the people in away never before known. The people had been programmed and indoctrinated to believe that government is their friend and protector. They no longer understood that government is not their friend. Government believes it should be the controller of the lives of the people and how the people think. The apparent result of this latest crisis will be greatly increased national debt and expanded powers of state and local government.
We must understand that government is people and the free enterprise marketplace is people. In order to look at the differences between government and the free marketplace, we must examine the differences between the people in both. Long time government people, both elected and bureaucrats, believe that they can better run a person’s life than can the individual. The long-time government people, elected and bureaucrats, are not judged on results but longevity. The longer they have served, the more of an expert they are considered to be. The results of decisions or lack thereof is not the criteria considered, only longevity.
In the free marketplace, longevity is not a consideration, especially for people responsible for making decisions. Results of decisions made are the determining factor as to how much of an expert an individual really is.
This difference has a startling effect on how decisions are made. The government people are more concerned about not being criticized, so their decisions will be based on prevailing thought and opinion, referred to often as the prudent man rule. What seemed to be reasonable at the time? What was the safest course? What would I best be able to defend? The marketplace demands positive results so the marketplace individual has to look beyond protecting themselves and their standings as an expert and truly analyze a situation using what they have learned and know and what others might know. They must be reasonable and responsible risk takers.
If we understand these differences as a nation, when the hysteria and fright have subsided, we as a nation will demand that our elected officials and bureaucrats be judged on the same basis as the people in the marketplace, on results. The prudent man rule will be thrown to the wind and the result test will be universally used. 40-year people like Dr. Fauci, who has learned and uses the CYA and prudent man rule will no longer be a part of the government. Pay him a pension because he cannot survive in the free marketplace. Our nation will be much stronger and more prosperous when these types of people are forced to produce and not just exist.
In order for this to happen it is critical that Donald Trump be elected to another four-year term. He is a businessman who understands the value of results. Dementia Joe, oh by the way where is Hunter, Biden is the definition of the long-term government individual. He is not only the definition, but will extend and expand failed government.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
