Assuming this does not happen and the primaries progress along with the general election, the United States is facing many problems. The most pressing problem we face is will we remain a free nation. Our freedom is being attacked from outside our borders and from within. The Islamic Jihadist Terrorists have declared war on the United States, Israel, and Western Civilization. As has been said in many ways, we can fight them on their soil or on ours, but fight them and defeat them we must.
Internally, our biggest threat to our freedom is the attack on the very instrument that was drafted to protect our freedom, the United States Constitution. The federal government has assumed powers it was not given. The lines between the branches of government have been blurred and the separation of governments, that is federal and state, has been eliminated with the federal government assuming any power it desires. Concentrated power has always led to a tyrannical government.
In a very close second tier of problems we face as a nation is the loss of our leadership position in the world. This loss has come about because of purposeful reductions in our military and our anemic economic growth due to excessive taxes and regulations. Both of these problems must be corrected and can be corrected. In this same tier I would place our illegal immigration problem which includes lack of any border controls and our mounting and overwhelming debt which is a major detriment to economic growth.
Way down the list of problems we face as a nation would be things like global ?????? (is it warming, cooling or just change), free college education, Bill Clinton's sexual escapes, The Nashua New Hampshire newspaper, whether or not Jeb Bush is a wimp, Rand Paul’s standing in the polls, and so many other insignificant matters that seem to dominate the headlines.
We as voters must become serious about the serious problems facing our nation. We as voters must demand serious discussions that will lead to real and workable solutions to these problems. We as voters must not tolerate candidates discussing these far less important issues in detail while addressing the matters pertinent to our freedom and very survival with glib statements and trite stump speech soundbites. We as voters must be responsible in our duties and obligations if we are to expect the candidates to be responsible to theirs.
We must start to require complete, responsible, and workable solutions to those top tier problems facing our nation from the candidates. If the candidate is incapable of responding responsibly to questions, ideas, and criticism, and instead responds with statements that would be expected from fifth graders, we voters must disregard that candidate as a serious contender to lead our nation and the free world. We have suffered with that type of an egotistical and narcissistic personality for the last seven years and that is the reason for the chaos the world and our nation are in today.
I AM WISHING ALL A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR. REST, RELAX, AND ENJOY SO YOU WILL BE RESTED. OUR BATTLE TO REMAIN A FREE NATION WILL BE UNDER AN EVEN GREATER ATTACK IN 2016. WE FREEDOM LOVING AMERICANS MUST BE READY TO FIGHT AS WE HAVE NEVER FOUGHT BEFORE SO WE CAN REMAIN FREE AND A FREE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL LIVE ON FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS OF AMERICANS. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
