In Oregon an owner of a bakery refused to make a “wedding” cake for a homosexual couple. Consequently the Oregon commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries fined the bakery $135,000 because its owners (1) refused to sell a wedding cake for a homosexual commitment ceremony and (2) allegedly stated that they would similarly refuse such customer requests in the future. The decision also (3) barred the bakery from publishing “any communication … to the effect that any of the accommodations, advantages, facilities, services or privileges of a place of public accommodation will be refused … any person on account of sexual orientation.”
The left supported this decision in the interest of non-discrimination and adherence to the “rule of law.”
Today we learn that a suburban Chicago woman said Office Depot discriminated against her Roman Catholic faith, charging staffers refused to run copies of an anti-abortion prayer because it violated company policy. Maria Goldstein, asked the Office Depot in Schaumburg, Ill., to make 500 copies of "A Prayer for Planned Parenthood" to distribute at her parish.
The handout also included statistics about abortion in the United States and at Planned Parenthood. The prayer calls on God to "Bring an end to the killing of children in the womb, and bring an end to the sale of their body parts. Bring conversion to all who do this, and enlightenment to all who advocate it.” It also decried "the evil that has been exposed in Planned Parenthood and in the entire abortion industry."
We will learn how dedicated the Marxists and “useful idiots” are to the concept of “rule of law.” My prediction is that they will concoct some reason why the refusal by Office Depot is justified. The Marxists will then launch a vicious attack against Maria Goldstein, not caring about the accuracy of their attack and quickly changing the subject from “rule of law.”
This is a very easy prediction. Saul Alinsky taught this approach to both Obama and Hillary. Obama and Hillary follow this Alinsky rule and have taught it to their underlings and henchmen.
