Facebook Inc Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, a Collectivist, laid out a vision of his company serving as a bulwark against rising isolationism, writing in a letter to users that the company’s platform could be the “social infrastructure” for the globe.
Zuckerberg’s comments come at a time when many people and nations around the world are taking an increasingly inward view. U.S. President Donald Trump pledged to put “America first” in his inaugural address in January. That followed Britain’s decision last June to exit the European Union.
The result of Britain moving forward with Brexit has brought about economic optimism.
The average forecast for UK economic growth has more than tripled since Britain’s vote to leave the European Union (EU) as economists monitored by HM Treasury revise their predictions upwards.
This is Money reports the average forecast for growth in 2017 has risen from just 0.5 per cent, as predicted in July 2016, to 1.6 per cent.
Forecasts by the Bank of England, the United Kingdom’s state-owned central bank, have proven particularly volatile. Governor Mark Carney slashed predicted growth to 0.8 per cent after the Brexit vote, before quietly revising upwards to first 1.4 per cent and then 2 per cent.
Britain is no longer under the Collectivist constraints of the European Union. The British economy and its different companies will be free to compete based on the dictates of the marketplace instead of being restricted by the conforming and egalitarian dictates of the Collectivists. The United States will see the same time of optimism. Our government will allow the different companies to compete based on market forces and not be restricted by the political correctness of the Collectivist. Already we are seeing the results based on mostly promises of restrictive regulations being eliminated, such as Obamacare, EPA regulations, Dodd-Frank, and the elimination of the Consumer Agency.
All of this is very positive in every possible way. We will witness here in the United States, just like in Britain, ever increasing projections that will be followed by actual increasing results. Even though the academic elites of the world will continue to denounce these advances as being advances only for the rich, the real result will be a real increase in living standards for all people. This projection is not based on hope and hype but it is based on historical results.
Never forget, any form of Collectivism will always and has always restricted the growth and advancement of the masses while Individualism will always and has always greatly advanced the growth and advancement of the masses.
