The speech was a renewed claim to continue the fundamental transformation promised by Obama in 2008. His solutions to every problem America has and every problem each individual American has is more government. This is exactly the wrong solution. As Ronald Reagan told us, “Government is not the solution, Government is the problem.” Government is the solution if the nation is a totalitarian Marxist state, but then that is what Obama has promised.
Obama would have the American people believe that they have nothing to fear because of the Islamic Jihadist movement. First of all he denies there is such a movement despite the numerous bombings, killings, and terror activities carried out by these Islamic Jihadists in the name of Allah. Obama’s solution seems to be withdrawal and denial. He would have us belief the doubtful process of man-made climate change is far more serious to our immediate survival.
This campaign speech was not much different from any of Obama’s other campaign speeches; filled with false innuendo, half-truths, and outright lies. Here are just a few of what I thought were the worst and most misleading.
“We are training, arming, and supporting forces that are steadily reclaiming territory in Iraq and Syria [from Islamic State].” The training program Obama claimed was so successful was abandoned because of its failure. Obama has managed to arm ISIS by refusing to arm the Kurds and instead arming the Iraqi army who surrenders the weapons to ISIS almost as fast as Obama gives the weapons to them. The reports on the bombing missions are that few bombs are dropped and when they are many times ISIS has been given prior notice. Obama is not fighting the war to destroy ISIS but to aid the movement of building a Caliphate state.
“As someone who begins every day with an intelligence briefing, I know this is a dangerous time.” It has been widely reported and confirmed that Obama misses at least half of the intelligence briefings.
“That’s what the Affordable Care Act is all about. It’s about filling the gaps in employer-based care so that when we lose a job, or go back to school, or start that new business, we’ll still have coverage.” The Obamacare website says Obama Care (the Affordable Care Act) is a US healthcare reform law that expands and improves access to care and curbs spending through regulations and taxes. The Affordable Care Act’s main focus is on providing more Americans with access to affordable health insurance, improving the quality of health care and health insurance, regulating the health insurance industry, and reducing health care spending in the US. This does not say the purpose is to fill gaps. In addition, premiums have skyrocketed, deductibles have skyrocketed, and the cost of health care has skyrocketed while access has greatly diminished.
“Anyone claiming that America’s economy is in decline is peddling fiction.” The truth is that despite the slow recovery–the slowest since World War II–labor force participation is the lowest it has been in decades. Wages are stagnant, household incomes still have not recovered from the recession, young people see a bleak future, corporate profits are in decline, and GNP is slowing once again.
“I believe a thriving private sector is the lifeblood of our economy.” I was shocked even Obama could say this without laughing. The Obama regime has strangulated the private sector with its crippling regulations and taxes (fees). Even in the very same speech Obama made this claim, the whole economic portion of the speech was claiming the government should regulate more. Obama is a true “central planner” just like Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, and Castro. Obama, Jarrett, Axelrod, Holder, and all the other Marxist/Progressives despise the private sector, just like all sworn Marxists do despite any claims they might make to the contrary; just look at their actions.
Obama claimed the state of the union is strong. It is not. Our economy is struggling so much so that many economists feared a quarter point interest rate increase, the first in ten years. Our military is the weakest it has been perhaps since Jimmy Carter. Rogue nations do not fear us and our friends do not trust us. Iran mocks us, Russia ignores us, Islamic Jihadists attack us, and terrorists in Benghazi murder our ambassador. In what world do you exist, Obama? It is not the world of reality. It is the world of a person who hates the United States Constitution, the economic and military power of the United States, and the long standing principles that made the United States the great and moral power it was; rule of law, limited government, divided government, and rule by the people.
