That the “war on crime” is a complete failure is documented. Trillions of dollars have been taken from private individuals and companies and “shared” with others per the dictates and prejudices of the Marxist/Progressives. More money is being spent today. Fraudulent disabilities, welfare rolls, and food stamp rolls continue to grow. The poverty rate has not changed. However, the economy is growing at a very low rate and wages are stagnant. The enormous debt that has resulted is growing and a main reason for the pathetic economic numbers.
Despite the known results of the policies being proclaimed by these two “progressives” they continue to argue for more of these economic and security threatening polices. Both say the bill to control the financial community was a step forward but did not go far enough to have a government controlled banking system as called for by Karl Marx.
Both Sanders and Clinton said that federal regulators are the answer. Yet facts show that the increased regulation called for by Frank Dodd, have forced community banks and smaller regional banks out of business because they cannot afford to adhere to the stifling regulation and forms required. The law the Marxists said would save the banking industry and bring back competition is actually consolidating the industry and decreasing competition. The end result will be that the industry will become totally government controlled.
The Progressives, Sanders and Clinton, both stated they are for the worker and against the greedy capitalists. The solution called for by these Progressives is to double the unconstitutional minimum wage. This is a drastic increase and many companies and most small companies will not be able to absorb such a drastic increase on the expense side of the ledger. The companies have two choices; fire some of the workers or close the business which results in all the employees becoming unemployed and ultimately wards of the state.
Included in this argument was the solution to the strike by Sanders. Sanders solution was for the government to dictate to the board of Verizon the terms they would have to impose to end the strike. That is not a role of government .
The next topic was gun control. Despite the 2nd amendment, Clinton called everything but the repeal of the 2nd amendment. All problems can be solved by gun control.
As the debate wore on the answer to every problem was more and more government and more and more government control. Despite the fact that the founders limited the role of government in the Constitution and then reinforced that limited role in the 10th amendment, and despite the fact that government has always done a poor job fraught with fraud and waste, these Progressives continue to argue for more and more of the same.
If you would like to see the United States become another Venezuela, support people who propose more government. These big government proponents do not just exist in the Democrat party. If you would like to see the United States become a country that truly provides opportunity because of a plus 4% growing economy, support people who will truly reduce government, reduce our debt, reduce regulation, and restore our freedom.
