We in the United States have the protected right to speak against our government. We have the right to disagree with and speak against our officials. We have the right to speak against the policies adopted or those proposed. We in the United States can say we prefer a very limited government or even no government, or we want more government. This is true if we believe in a United States that is governed according to the United States Constitution.
We had been told we do not have that right and we are being told once again we do not have that right by the Obama regime. When the citizens are restricted in their ability in any way to voice opposition to any faction of the government, we are no longer living in the United States of America, but we are living in the Restrictive State According to Obama.
Remember in April of 2009 when The Department of Homeland Security issued a memo warning law enforcement officials about a rise in “right wing extremist activity,” saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias. In that report, Homeland Security said you can identify these “right wing extremists” by watching for those who among other things, disagree with Obama, call for limited government, call for lower taxes, and generally criticize the government. Homeland security went on to say it is these “right wing extremists” that pose the greatest threat to the United States.
Now a new FBI initiative instructs high schools across America to inform on students who express “anti-government” and “anarchist” political beliefs.
“High school students are ideal targets for recruitment by violent extremists seeking support for their radical ideologies, foreign fighter networks, or conducting acts of targeted violence within our borders. High schools must remain vigilant in educating their students about catalysts that drive violent extremism and the potential consequences of embracing extremist belief,” states an unclassified document released in January by the FBI’s Office of Partner Engagement, the agency’s primary liaison for the law enforcement community.
The document claims public school educators “are in a unique position to affect change, impart affirmative messaging, or facilitate intervention activities,” including informing on students. It calls for “observing and assessing concerning behaviors and communications” of students “embracing extremist ideologies.”
In addition to “designated foreign terrorist organizations,” the FBI program targets “domestic violent extremism movements,” including anti-government groups. According to the FBI “some adults embrace domestic violent extremist ideologies [and] their beliefs can permeate family norms, oftentimes influencing their children. This dynamic fosters biases leading to hatred and intolerance, and drives the need for action.”
These directives from The Homeland Security Department and the FBI are reminiscent of directives from the KGB or the Gestapo. The educators should be educating our students; they should be teaching accurate history, the constitution, and civics. The police forces should be patrolling and enforcing local and state laws. Only in a police state are educators and local police departments searching for those exercising free speech for the purpose of reporting them to authorities, even if that free speech is criticizing the government.
Our freedom is being taken from us under the guise of protecting us. This ploy has been used throughout history, and it has worked continuously. We who are Freedom Loving Americans must protest with many and with loud voices. When our freedom of speech is taken, our freedom and liberty is gone as well.
