The candidates heading the debate reform movement to are the very candidates who repeat themselves with their sound bites as opposed to exploring in depth the very issues that must be explored and solved if America is to remain free.
This is the result of those candidate’s diligent efforts.
The 2016 Republican White House hopefuls have written a letter detailing their requests for upcoming presidential debates.
The draft message was produced Monday morning by GOP presidential campaigns.
The letter includes a set of demands for the future debates, including opening and closing statements of at least 30 seconds for every participant.
Candidates also are asking for approval of candidate biographies and graphics used by host networks and are arguing against any lightning-round segments in future debates to prevent "gotcha moments."
What we know is that some of the candidates contributed much more time than did others to this worthless and petty project. One of the candidates said, “Debates are about seeing how someone performs under pressure [and] seeing if they can think on their feet.”
This person was absolutely correct. It is the responsibility of the candidate to take any question from any questioner and give a meaningful and coherent response even if it requires rephrasing the question. If the candidate cannot, they should not be at that podium. This is how we the Freedom Loving Americans can see and understand who and what these candidates really are. The moderators and their questions are totally irrelevant.
Will those candidates who are legitimate contenders for President please stand. You must face any situation with strength and insight you will need to turn this country toward the principles of the founders; rule of law, limited government, divided government, and rule by the people. Will you candidates who are so overly concerned with the format and fairness of the debates please step aside. America has real issues. America needs a strong and dedicated leader like a Calvin Coolidge. America does not need another leader who reads their bombastic and divisive comments from a teleprompter or one who repeats themselves ad nauseam.
