This Freedom Loving American came away with a much clearer picture as to which candidates he would enthusiastically support and which ones he would put in the same bracket as McCain and Romney. What we know is candidates speak about the United States Constitution but which candidates support the United States Constitution, not only in word but also in deed and spirit. What we know is the candidates speak about the spirit of 1776 but which candidates understand and advocate for the fundamentals the founders put in place so this nation could remain a free and independent people.
Unfortunately for the American public who was unable to watch the debate, chose not to watch it, or were not even aware it was taking place, the sound bites being played on all news outlets will not enable a voter to discern which of the candidates are adjustment candidates and which are change candidates. The outlets, for instance, are playing the Ted Cruz sound bite where he is assailing the moderators and properly so, but we are not hearing the sound bite where Ted Cruz explained that the Democratic (Marxist/Progressive) debate was really about who was a Bolshevik and who was a Menshevik.
Perhaps the pundits are not pointing to this statement because they do not understand what it means. The vast majority of the American public has no idea what it means, and yet this is the very essence of the debate we should be having. Every Freedom Loving American should be sure to totally understand what Ted Cruz meant and should then be discussing this with their family, friends, and acquaintances.
The comment by Marco Rubio about Hillary Clinton lying is not being shown or discussed. Rubio called out the press for their fawning over the performance of Hillary in front of the Benghazi committee. Rubio made clear this was a performance by Hillary and not honest testimony. Rubio then specifically exposed the direct lie Hillary told to the families of the victims and the American public about the video being the cause of the attack. Hillary and the regime told this lie for political purposes. This was a direct lie by Hillary along with many half-truths such as she and the Ambassador were close and communicated often.
These were very important parts of the debate. Even more importantly, this debate highlighted the differences between candidates. Every Freedom Loving American should be listening to determine which of the candidates is an adjustment candidate and which is a change candidate. What I mean by this is which of the candidates believes the direction of the government needs to be adjusted through perhaps less spending, less regulation or different regulation, and a modified tax code.
By a change candidate, I mean which of the candidates believes a total change in the direction of government is necessary. We must discern which of the candidates is committed to not only reducing spending but eliminating unconstitutional departments such as The Department of Education, HHR, The Department of Agriculture, The EPA, and so many others. We must discern which of the candidates is truly committed to revamping the confiscation program of the government commonly called the tax code. We must discern which of the candidates is committed to following the United States Constitution and limiting the federal government to those powers granted to it in the Constitution. We must discern which of the candidates is truly committed to the freedoms guaranteed in the Bill of Rights including freedom of speech and religion.
We as Freedom Loving Americans must listen to these candidates and discern which of them is committed to restoring the principles of rule of law, limited government, divided government, and rule by the people. Our founders understood that any generation of Americans that curtailed these freedoms would be limiting freedom for their generation and all future generations of Americans. This has proven to be true. We must be very careful that the candidate we eventually nominate and elect will be committed to changing the direction of our government; that means returning this nation to those principles of freedom which are the foundation of this nation. If we do that, our nation will have a free and bright future, if we do not our nation will continue on the pathway to a Marxist totalitarian state.
