A war is never won until the enemy surrenders or is totally defeated. George Washington and his Continental Army won very few battles. His surprise attack on Trenton and the ensuing win was very important, but it was only a victory. The war had not been won. On October 19, in 1781, British General Charles Cornwallis formally surrendered 8,000 British soldiers and seamen to a French and American force at Yorktown, Virginia, bringing the American Revolution to a close. The war had been won.
Those who would prefer to gloat about the Trump win last week must understand the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) did not surrender. Yes, have your glass of Champagne and enjoy the moment, but remember the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) are entrenching and it is their intent to come back stronger than ever. Also, remember that the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) still have a formidable army with which to fight; that being the press, the education system, Hollywood, and the career bureaucracy.
A group of high-profile Marxist/Progressives and establishment figures are moving by coalescing around Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison — who has not formally announced his bid to run the DNC, but who appears prepared to make such an announcement after receiving backing from Sanders, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, progressive groups like MoveOn.org, and kind words from Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
Rep. Ellison was elected co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus for the 113th Congress that promotes the progressive promise of fairness for all.
He is also a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, founded the Congressional Consumer Justice Caucus, and belongs to more than a dozen other caucuses that focus on issues ranging from social inclusion to environmental protection.
Before being elected to Congress Rep. Ellison was a noted community activist and ran a civil rights, employment, and criminal defense law practice in Minneapolis. Ellison is a Marxist/Progressive who adheres to the Saul Alinsky principles of “Rules for Radicals.”
If you are a Freedom Loving American who believes in Individualism, rule of law, limited government, divided government, and rule by the people, the war will continue and we must be ready to win more battles to protect our freedom and liberty. We must be cautious and remember the establishment Republicans have made promises to us before only to have them accommodate the movement to big government by supporting bloated budgets, higher taxes, and more regulations.
We also must be very cautious and remember that Trump has been a New York liberal. He has supported bigger government. He has supported policies of more regulation. During the campaign, both primary and general, he promised he would reduce government and adhere to the constitution. We must watch to see that Trump is more trustworthy than have been establishment Republicans like Ryan and McConnell.
We must be very diligent in watching that Trump upholds his promises and appoints Freedom Loving Americans to high positions in the government. Two very encouraging early signs that a Trump administration will promote freedom are his list of potential Supreme Court Justices and his comment that the Department of Education should be abolished.
We Freedom Loving Americans must follow the advice of a great American President, Ronald Reagan, when he said, “Trust but verify.” If Trump delivers on his promises, we will look at him in the same spirit as we remember Ronald Reagan. If Trump begins to equivocate, we must become vocal.
The battle has been won but the war was not won. We Freedom Loving Americans still have a huge job ahead of us. What we have seen over the last two years is just how successful the Marxist/Progressives have been in indoctrinating Americans through the public-school system. Our children are no longer educated, they are indoctrinated. They have been indoctrinated to believe the Marxist scenario is superior to the scenario upon which our nation was built; Individualism, rule of law, limited government, divided government, and rule by the people. They are taught big government dictates are superior to individual choice, socialism is superior to capitalism, conformity is superior to independent thinking, ambition and competition promote bigotry and greed, immorality is superior to morality, and government dictates and control are superior to freedom and independence.
Perhaps the war will never be won. We know the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) will never surrender. We know the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) truly believe they can run the lives of individuals better than can the individual. But we can minimize their destructive influence. That minimization must begin with removing their indoctrination from our schools. Freedom Loving Americans can and should play the prominent role in righting this wrong. Freedom Loving Americans must start attending school board meetings, visiting the classrooms of their children and grandchildren, become involved and informed about school board elections, and run to be members of the school board.
If Freedom Loving Americans want to curtail the Marxist/Progressive influence, it must begin with the schools. Lenin told us if he had a child for four years, he would have him for a lifetime. Freedom Loving Americans should not have the goal of indoctrination but education. Education promotes critical thinking, independent thinking, creative thinking, and promotes non-conformists; all enemies of the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats).
