This is the transformation they all desire:
“Between capitalist and communist society there lies the period of the revolutionary transformation of the one into the other. Corresponding to this is also a political transition period in which the state can be nothing but the revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat.”
Marx, Critique of the Gotha Program (1875)
If you study the Critique of the Gotha Program, you will also find an alarming correlation between Marx’s idea on the economics of that transformation and those of Warren, Sanders, Obama, and yes, Hillary.
Marx explains that the transformation to a “communist” society must take place in stages. The transference of wealth will be gradual and the best way to accomplish the transference is through a progressive tax. This tax is to be applied to income and wealth. Eventually all will be compensated or rewarded based on need. This compensation or reward system will also be implemented in stages. The example Marx uses is that in the first stage all will receive the same wage for each widget made. Those who produce more widgets will receive more. The next stage is where all receive based on need and productivity is not considered.
When Marx, Warren, Sanders, Obama, and Hillary speak of income inequality, it is this to which they are referring. Anybody who receives more than they need, with need defined by the state, is now capable of saving. The ability to save means the individual has the ability to invest and accumulate. In a communist society, Marx explains, there is no reason to accumulate since all will receive based on their needs.
This is the transformation to which the United States is now subjected; a transformation to a communist society where all needs are supplied by the state. These needs include income. We have seen the growth of our safety net system, the increase in minimum wages, and the increase in the benefits paid from the entitlement programs to all including illegals. These needs also include things like health care and education. We are on the road to universal health care and free education for all. These are critical cogs in the transformation called for by Marx and Obama.
What you are hearing at the Democrat (Marxist/Progressive) convention is the demand to complete this transformation and the plan to do it. If you are interested in what happens once the transformation is complete, look south to Venezuela and Cuba. This is what Marx, Obama, Hillary, Warren, and Sanders call progress.
