Schumer told us the Marxist/Progressives were so badly beaten in the last election because they took on Obamacare as their primary program. The Marxist/Progressive claimed they should have advocated more government in other areas. The reason the Marxists were so badly beaten in November was certainly because of Obamacare, but it was also because of the discontent of Americans due to the big government concept of Schumer, Obama, and the other Marxist/Progressives.
So what does Obama do but advocate even more government with even more deficit spending. As Obama gives his State of the Union address Tuesday, he will be speaking to an electorate which generally is not satisfied with the direction of the country and wants Congress to pass an annual budget bill and cut college costs. Across the board, 59 percent of voters think the country is on the wrong track, including 84 percent of Republicans, 58 percent of Democrats and 62 percent of Independents, the poll finds.
Nevertheless, Obama will ask Congress for as much as $68 billion more than current budget limits in fiscal 2016, according to people familiar with the regime’s proposal. The request will set up a fight with the Republican-led House and Senate over whether to reverse part of the spending limits that the U.S. Congress and the White House agreed to in fiscal deals earlier this decade. The new spending would mean as much as $34 billion each for the national security and domestic sides of what will be a budget of almost $4 trillion. It will be detailed in the budget proposal Obama will send to Congress on Feb. 2.
That amounts to an almost 7 percent increase over discretionary-spending levels prescribed by automatic cuts known as sequestration voted into law in 2011. We will now see if the Republican House and Senate heard the American people who said in November we want to reverse this dangerous course on which Obama has taken us. The voters said we voted against the Marxist/Progressives because of how they increase spending and government. We will now see if the Republicans heard the voters. Obama and the other Marxists clearly did not.
