In an interview on KFYO's "The Chad Hasty Show," the Texas Republican was asked if the Senate could get a repeal and replace plan by the end of the year done.
"Oh, absolutely," Cornyn said. "We'll get it done by the end of July at the latest."
As a candidate, president-elect, and president, Trump has repeatedly pointed to the repeal of Obamacare as a top priority and a key reason he wanted to be president.
House Speaker Paul Ryan kicks off the New Year with an old Republican priority: repealing Obamacare.
This is what we heard, “we will repeal Obamacare.” Repeal means to 1. to revoke or withdraw formally or officially: to repeal a grant. 2. To revoke or annul (a law, tax, duty, etc.) by express legislative enactment; abrogate.
Repeal does not mean to amend or change as Ryan, McCarthy, McConnell, Cornyn and the rest of the Republican Establishment seem to think. But then saying what you mean is becoming as foreign to the Republican Establishment as it is to the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) who have as their doctrine: The ends justify the means, no matter what the lie.
This is what the Republican Establishment is promoting and trying to do.
'We're Amending Obamacare. We're Not Killing It' The Senate bill would do many things to health care in the U.S., but it won’t get rid of the Affordable Care Act, and Mitch McConnell won’t claim that it does. This is reminiscent of Eisenhower, who when he had the chance to repeal the “New Deal” of Franklin Roosevelt chose to not kill it but endorse it and make it permanent by tweaking it. McConnell and the Republican Establishment are doing an Eisenhower, or endorsing more Marxist programs and increasing the slide down the slippery slope to a Marxist tyrannical state supported by Obama and his Comrades.
I do not know if President Trump understands that what he tweeted the other day is a far superior choice to Obamacare than the passage of the current proposal on Obamacare, which is really an endorsement of eventually having a one party health care country like Lenin instituted in his Marxist takeover of Russia.
Trumps Tweet: President Trump on Monday raised the specter of letting ObamaCare “crash & burn” if the Republican overhaul of the law fails in Congress.
“Republican Senators are working very hard to get there, with no help from the Democrats. Not easy! Perhaps just let OCare crash & burn!” Trump tweeted.
Mr. President, this is a far superior option to the one supported by the Republican Establishment. It would end Obamacare and put 20% of our economy back into the free enterprise sector. This is also a strong vote for a free enterprise economy. That would be the United States as our founders saw it. It worked so well to build this country and it will help “Make America Great Again.”
