The difference between the Freedom Loving Americans and the Marxist/Progressives is how do we attack and hopefully solve the problem. The Freedom Loving Americans believe you take less money from the job creators so they can use their ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit to bring about an economic resurgence. This is what Kennedy proposed in the early 1960’s and the congress implemented after his assassination. The result was an economic resurgence with a dramatic increase in revenue from income taxes to the government.
Ronald Reagan proposed and congress passed a dramatic tax cut in the early 1980’s with an even more resounding positive result. We were told by Carter that we as Americans would have to lower our expectations. Reagan said the American people must raise their expectations and the government must lower its fraud, waste and unnecessary spending.
The Marxist/Progressives solution to the problem is again to take money even more money from those who would create and innovate. The Marxist/Progressives state we have a revenue problem. No we have a spending problem. The Marxist/Progressives say exactly what Marx said. When thinking about where the revenue we need should come from, the starting point should be that our tax system must be progressive. The fallacy of this concept is that study after study shows a flat tax would be very stimulative and the wealthier would pay more in actual dollars.
The Freedom Loving American also believes government expenditures must be cut because of the spending problem. We believe the cuts should be immediate and real. The Marxist/Progressives claim they have cut spending because the rate of increase has been reduced and the projected spending over the next ten years has been cut. The first example is not a cut. Actual dollars spent still increases. The projected cuts in the future seem to never happen.
Although all parties voice the concern, only the Freedom Loving Americans have solutions to solve the problem. The Marxist/Progressives propose to take us down the same path that has brought us to this brink of disaster. But then, Marx explained it would probably be necessary to bankrupt the more economically advanced nations to insure the fundamental transformation to a Marxist Society. Obama, Jarrett, Axelrod and Podesta, being students of Marx, certainly understand this.
