These “brilliant” people understand that what they know and profess is absolutely correct and compromise is not acceptable. This is why they insist upon using political correctness. An undocumented immigrant somehow validates their position while illegal alien, which accurately describes the situation, is too harsh and does not advance their position. To be politically correct has nothing to do with being truthful or accurate but it means to be conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities should be eliminated.
What we are witnessing in the United States today is a state of intolerance and self-righteousness never before witnessed. What brought about such a great nation, the United States, was a group of opinionated and brilliant individuals willing to compromise for the good of the nation and not necessarily for the implementation of an ideology. The structure they established was predicated on the idea that future generations of Americans would also be able to implement tolerance and compromise.
We have apparently reached the point where this is no longer true. This has become abundantly clear in the last three months. The Marxist/Progressive Party (Democrats) have not accepted the election results. This is a critical element of our nation. We hold elections. We accept the results. The winning party is the ruling party, but the winning party has limitations per the United States Constitution.
The Marxist/Progressive/Party (Democrats) have assumed the same attitude of Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Trotsky; they are smarter than anybody else, they are more compassionate than anybody, and they are always right. They believe the only correct definitions are their definitions such as what is moderate and what is mainstream. They have become a party of dedicated Marxists and what Marxists have in common is intolerance and self-righteousness.
The only way a civil war can be avoided is if the Marxist element of the Democrat party is replaced by the moderate element of the Democrat party; those like Jim Webb and Joe Manchin. If the Marxist element continues to dominate the Democrat Party, they will continue to move a major faction in the United States away from the principles upon which our nation was founded. It is those principles; rule of law, limited government, divided government, and rule by the people, that protect our freedom. Even Democrats recognize this dangerous move of their party.
Former Democrat Senator from Virginia Jim Webb appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and had a message for the Democrat Party as they go forward from the 2016 election and try to rebuild: have a voice in the corridors of power for those that have no voice.
Webb told host Chuck Todd that there is a pervasive aristocracy in American politics on both sides of the aisle that needs to be broken, and that was part of President Donald Trump’s appeal. He also noted that Democrats have lost — and don’t at present appear to be trying to win back — a group that used to make up their voting base: the working class.
“The Democrats, first of all, they’re looking at 2018 and they don’t have a message…there’s a campaign going on, on the Hill, in the media, in academia…not only to personally discredit Donald Trump but the people who are around him,” Webb said. “The Democratic party over the past five or six years has moved very far to the left…when you can’t have a Jefferson-Jackson dinner, which was the primary celebratory event of the Democratic party for years, because Jefferson and Jackson were slave holders — they were also great Americans in their day — something different has happened to the Democratic Party.”
“I think the message has been shaped toward identity politics and they’ve lost the key part of their base,” he added.” Democrats have not done the kind of self-reflection they should have.”
Intolerance and self-rightness are not conducive to self-reflection. The Marxist accepts nothing less than total conformity, compromise and negotiation do not exist in their world. History has proven they use any means to achieve their ends. We see Many Marxists in the United States today justifying the recent breakouts of violence and thuggery to achieve their means. Violence and thuggery is a part of the playbook of a Marxist revolution.
