None of which they discuss above has anything to do with the reason our public schools are failing today. They do not discuss the impact the teachers unions have had insisting on tenure and keeping dues paying teachers who are poor teachers. They do not discuss the lack of discipline in our classrooms because of the politically correct standards for discipline. They do not discuss the break down in the family which has brought about a greatly reduced participation factor by parents. They do not discuss the demand by the federal government and teachers unions that the schools be an indoctrination center for their philosophy of social justice and conformity.
Once again the Marxist/Progressives are telling the American public a very serious problem can be corrected with more social justice philosophy. This problem, the deterioration of the American school system cannot. It will only be corrected when schools can no longer collect union dues, thus negating the influence of the union in their quest to indoctrinate our children with Marxism. It will only be corrected when the United States Department of Education is abolished and all federal influence over our schools is no longer, giving all responsibility back to the states and local school districts. It will only be corrected when discipline is again restored on the schoolyard, in the hallways and mostly in the classroom. It will only be corrected when we the American people say the education of our children is our responsibility, not the federal governments.
