Universal suffrage is the right of all adult citizens to vote in an election. A nation, such as the United States, cannot survive this onslaught of people assuming the responsibility of self-governing by casting a vote. The United States was a nation that said the people will be the sovereign and those in government, elected, appointed, and hired, the servants. If this is to work, those casting a vote must be involved and informed.
Those who oppose freedom and a free enterprise system, mainly the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) understand this. It is the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) who advocate universal suffrage. The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) understand that the larger the voter turnout is the less informed is the average voter.
The Marxist/Progressives also understand that they can buy votes of less informed voters by being the granter of government doles such as food stamps, welfare checks, free phones, and all the other freebies they use for bribes. The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) despise free enterprise, independence, self-reliant citizens, and all the principles upon which this nation was founded. The greater the number of voters the lower the average intelligence, desire to be self-reliant, ambition, and responsibility is. This lower the average is of the important elements of a voter, the more it favors the Marxist/Progressive (Democrat) candidate.
As the vote, has been extended to more and more people within the United States the more we have become a socialist nation and the more we have trended toward the conforming teachings of Karl Marx or communism. This is what the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) desire and they are aware a definite way to get there is to allow all citizens to vote at least once, all illegal residents to vote at least once, all dead people to vote at least once, and even some pets should be allowed to vote.
Universal suffrage is not conducive to freedom, liberty, and a free enterprise system because all three require informed, involved, and responsible people with a desire to be self-reliant. Freedom, liberty, and a free enterprise system requires voters who are willing to make choices and accept responsibility for those choices. Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) want the government to make their choices, such as health care, so they do not have to take responsibility for their choices. Under any circumstances, a voter who is not willing to be responsible, involved, and informed is a bad voter. Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) would disagree.
We can become a nation that champions freedom, liberty, and the free enterprise system again only if we as a nation are willing to make some difficult choices. The first choice we must make is to restrict primary voting only to registered members of the specific party. The number of parties and the number of candidates that can be on a ballot are not restricted. Members of one party and independents should not be able to help select the candidate of a specified party.
The constitution does not guarantee anybody the right to help select the candidates for president. Parties are private organizations. Parties are not a part of the government. The method of how the party selects their candidate is strictly the Parties choice. This should prevent a lifelong member of and advocate for one party from becoming the nominee of the other party.
The more difficult decision is to limit who can vote. We must insure that only citizens vote by requiring some form of proof of citizenship. The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) oppose this. We must purge the voting roles of people who died and people who have moved into another state or voting jurisdiction. The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) oppose this. We must limit voting to citizens who have awareness; after all we require people know the laws and pass a driving test before they are granted a license. The Marxist/Progressive (Democrats) oppose this. Voting is a right and along with the right comes responsibility. Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) disagree.
I imagined a video the other day that showed people standing in line waiting to vote and being asked some questions by a reporter. The questions were very basic questions like how many branches of government are there, which branch of government is responsible for passing bills, what is the government document of the United States, and if the president were to die who would succeed them. Alarmingly many people did not know the answers to these questions yet they knew if they voted for Hillary they were protecting their freebies.
The two biggest threats to our freedom, liberty, and the free enterprise system are universal suffrage and government. The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) champion both.
