Most recently, to divert from the real reasons for the Marxist/Progressive defeat at the polls at all levels of government, is the creative novel idea that the Russians were responsible for the election outcome. This is absurd on its face. The real reasons for the Marxist debacle are failed policies and terribly flawed candidates who were incapable of articulating a positive forward path for our nation, states, and local communities. Only in the Marxist bastions of California, New York, and Illinois can Marxist propaganda be sold. But then it is in California, New York, and Illinois where the real Marxist indoctrination has occurred.
In the meantime, Obama has been praised by the left for his aid to the Islamic Jihadists who are threats to the Western way of life and the very existence of free societies. Obama has been praised by the left for his constant barrage on the principles of freedom as outlined in the Bill of Rights. Obama has been praised for his constant attack on the provisions pertaining to limited government and divided government as outlined in the Constitution. Now, Obama is being praised by the left and “useful idiots” McCain and Graham for his condemnation of Russia for an act that is not provable and is appearing to never have occurred.
In the meantime, nobody, including Trump, Ryan, and McConnell is paying attention to the real and immediate threat we face, our national debt. In fact, all of Washington but for a few Freedom Loving Americans, are proposing to enhance this treat. That threat is our National debt.
"The most significant threat to our national security is our debt," said Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Michael Mullen.
"The greatest threat to our national security is our debt,” said Sen. Rand Paul.
A bipartisan group of prominent national security figures called on U.S. leaders to reduce the country's long-term debt, which they consider the greatest threat to the nation's security. They said,
"As individuals who have served the nation in both international and domestic leadership roles, we continue to believe that our long-term debt is the single greatest threat to our national security."
The latest numbers from the U.S. Treasury say the United States federal debt has risen by a trillion dollars in Obama’s final year in office, while Republicans controlled both the House and Senate.
The debt at the end of 2016 was $19,976,826,951,047.80, a one-year increase of $1,054,647,941,626.91.
To put the number in perspective, in order to spend one trillion dollars, you would have to spend ten million dollars a day, every day for 273 years.
This national debt, the greatest threat to our nation, is not a topic of discussion by the people, the media, members of congress, members of the outgoing regime, or members of the incoming administration. Instead, the discussion is centered on ways we can spend more money and create more debt. The problem will not disappear like an obnoxious child because it is ignored. Instead, the problem will devour us because we acted like a child and hoped the problem would disappear because we ignored it.
