The article then went on to explain that despite these claims of advances, not enough is being done. They explained that too many people are not getting enough and in order to receive they have to prove their need. The conclusion in the Marxist/Progressive think tank article was that more had to be shared so that poverty could be eradicated.
Will these people ever take their heads out of the sand and look at the real world. These programs perpetuate poverty and enslave people to a dependency on the state. We know this is what the Marxist/Progressives want. Why don’t they just admit it?
It should be the goal of a great nation to free and to embolden its citizens. A great nation should accommodate and encourage self-reliance and independence. This is done by government getting out of the way. This is done by government remembering that what an individual earns is the individuals and not the governments. Therefore the government has a fiduciary duty to use all tax dollars wisely, to eliminate waste and duplication, and to prevent graft and corruption. A great nation should encourage people to be independent and not government dependent. A great nation should encourage accomplishment and excellence and not demonize those who are driven.
Also, a great nation should measure its greatness by how little it takes from its citizens. It should measure its greatness by how many laws can be abolished and not by how many laws are passed. A great nation should measure its greatness by how little government has to do and not by how much it forces itself on its citizenry. A great nation is a nation with free and independent citizens and not enslaved citizens.
