“This freedom-to-work legislation will give workers the freedom to choose whether or not they want to join a union and employers another compelling reason to consider expanding or moving their business to Wisconsin,” Mr. Walker said. Based on the turnaround of Wisconsin, including the educational system, since Walker fought and won the fight against public employee unions, his assessment seems to be very accurate.
Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) assert that Mr. Walker’s real motivation is more about politics than job creation. Below is what the Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) mentor, Karl Marx, said about the struggle for worker’s to organize.
ARISING FROM THIS struggle inevitably is politics, the generalized struggle of the working class as a whole: … every class struggle is a political struggle.
There are some very important parallels with the tasks confronting unions and Marxists today with those in the days of Marx. The First International, through the work of Marx and Engels, brought together English trade unionists, European socialists and even the anarchists like Mikhail Bakunin. But Marx always tried to point the trade unions towards a generalized struggle against capitalism while supporting all their struggles on a day-to-day basis. For instance, in his fourth annual report to the First International’s general council in 1868, he states that the IWMA, "… has not been hatched by a sect or a theory. It is the spontaneous growth of the proletarian movement, which itself is the offspring of the natural and irrepressible tendencies of modern society". He also states: "If the trade unions are required for the guerrilla fights between capital and labor, they are still more important as organized agencies for superseding the very system of wage labor and capital rule".
The purpose of a labor union, then or today, is to destroy capitalism. The labor union thrives on the very essence of Marxism; conformity and equality. The labor union exemplifies “from each according to his abilities to each according to his needs.” The Marxist/Progressives (Democrats) must destroy capitalism along with freedom to bring about the classless society called for by their leaders; Obama and Marx.
Scott Walker is simply advocating that people should be free to be independent, creative, and productive. Right to work states have proven that absence the union, productivity is increased, wages and benefits are at a minimum comparable and the overall economic condition of the individual and the state is better. Contributions to the Marxist/Progressive (Democratic) party are down and that is at the center of their unhappiness. They fear the fundamental transformation might be derailed and for sure it will be slower to reach the Marxist society they crave.
