Now Obama is advocating more violations of the constitution. These violations will not be proclaimed as lawless Executive Orders. These violations or usurping of power will be supported by members of congress as have so many of these same power grabs of the same kind in the past.
Our founders had as a primary goal to keep the United States a free nation and not revert to a big government tyranny. The founders stated many times that they feared big government because it brought tyranny. As a preventive measure, the founders wrote into the constitution the specific powers the federal government would be given. In the tenth amendment this concept was reinforced by stating clearly that any power not given the federal government in the constitution was reserved for the states and the people. Every American should read and understand the constitutional powers of the federal government. Most of what the federal government does today is unconstitutional, but has been approved by members of all political persuasion and only receives token opposition.
Obama wishes to expand those unconstitutional powers. He proposed more policies that Marx told him were necessary to bring about the fundamental transformation. Obama is proposing nationalized child care and nationalized community college for all. I do not agree with the concept, but that is not the issue. The issue is that the federal government does not have the constitutional authority to be involved in any form of education. The Department of Education is unconstitutional. The power of education is one of those powers reserved for the states and the people. If individual states wish to provide for free child care or free community college that is a debate to be had by the people in that state. That is what the founders said and wrote into the constitution.
We heard, and rightly so, the outcry when Obama usurped power from the congress and wrote law. Where is the outcry when the federal government usurps the powers of the states and the people? It should be loud and clear. This type of power grab is as much of a threat to our freedom as is one branch of government taking the powers of another.
