The implication with “income inequality” is that if you earn more than the Marxist/Progressive thinks you should, you are earning too much because it takes from others. The Marxist/Progressive would have us believe that by limiting the incomes of some, we will increase the incomes of others. This, in fact has never worked. This is one of the many reasons the Marxist style, society for which the Marxist/Progressives are striving, has always failed. The very concept the Marxist/Progressives advocate of conformity and equality in all aspects of life is doomed to failure, because contrary to their thinking, people are unique with different abilities, different desires and different definitions of success.
The way to raise the opportunities and living standards of all has always been for any government to provide an environment that rewards people, with no limitations, for striving to maximize their abilities and talents. We have seen the Marxist/Progressive thinking stifle and ruin many young scholars by ridiculing those who think outside the box and do not conform to their standards. We have seen the Marxist/Progressive style of thinking stifle the overachiever by rewarding all for participation and not for effort and results. We are now seeing the Marxist/Progressive style of thinking stifle the creativity of the American Entrepreneur by labeling him because his efforts have rewarded him financially.
Society has made advances in areas of transportation, communication, technology, medicine and all other areas because of the very elements of human nature that Obama and his fellow Marxist/Progressives would have us believe are evil, selfish and uncaring. If in fact Obama and the Marxist/Progressives were truly concerned about the “exploited” they would immediately dispense with their ridicule, labeling and demonizing of that overachiever. History has proven it is the very desire to excel and achieve no matter what the field that has always raised the standard of living for all. There is no greater example of this than the United States. We are a nation that has admired and rewarded those very people Obama and the Marxist/Progressive are trying to ridicule and punish. This should not be surprising since it was their mentor Karl Marx, who put forth this concept of conformity, egalitarianism and punishment for excelling and achieving as the road to a utopian society.
The results of the society Marx and Obama promote have always been the same; failure and a lowering of standards in all areas of society. We are experiencing this result in the United States as Obama continues on his quest to fulfill his promise to fundamentally change us to a society as outlined by Marx. The “income inequality” campaign to punish for achievement is a major part of the equation. It is in fact contrary to the very principles on which the United States was founded. Those are the principles of unlimited opportunity and freedom; the very basic elements that led to our greatness.
