Karl Marx, mentor of Obama who is head of the regime and Marxist/Progressive party, advocated that planning could not be left in the hands of the capitalist. The capitalist would over produce and cause a surplus. When he had a surplus he would fire the worker and bring about a severe downturn in the economy. Marx believed production should be controlled under a centralized planning system and not left to the competitive forces of the market place and the inadequate planning of the capitalist. The central planners would bring about a smoothing affect in production, and also bring about a business community that would have as their only goal the good of society and not selfish exploitative goals. This centralization was to be brought to society as well. We see this being implemented in Venezuela this very day. It has been tried in many other societies and has always failed miserably with a dramatic downturn not only in economic results, but also in a dramatic loss of freedom and autonomy of the individual.
Unfortunately we see it at work in the United States as well. The area that is consuming all discussion now is Obamacare. Make no mistake; the reason the Marxists/Progressives fought so diligently for its passage has nothing to do with health care of health insurance, but it has everything to do with central planning. The Dodd-Frank law, which is not receiving the same attention, but it, is also about central planning of the banking industry and central control of credit granting.
While these issues have been dominating the news, we find the EPA quietly at work remaking our community and centralizing even more power as it takes power from the states. We have seen an unprecedented regulatory assault on the American Public. The EPA has not only been usurping power from the state, but is becoming an autonomous agency separating itself from congressional oversight. The EPA has assumed the role of legislator, prosecutor and judge as it dictates to private citizens what they can or cannot do on their “private” property.
Even homeowners are being affected by new regulations. In 2010, the Environmental Protection Agency removed an opt-out provision for its Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule. The rule requires that renovations to homes built before 1978 be supervised by an EPA-certified renovator and performed by an EPA-certified firm.
The EPA is also proposing to expand the definition of “navigable waters” to include depressions and farm ponds that don’t impede the flow of rivers, giving the agency greatly expanded regulatory authority under the Clean Water Act. The EPA tried to prevent a homeowner from building on his property because they classified it a “wetland” since it was near a lake. There was no standing water on the property. Fortunately, in this case the Supreme Court ruled 9 to 0 in the homeowners favor. The case however was not about the definition of “wetland” but was brought because the EPA tried to say the homeowner could not go to court. The regime of Obama defended the EPA.
Our economic and our individual freedoms are being assaulted every day. Every day we come closer to a totalitarian state with all activities centrally planned. Hegel was the philosopher Marx studied in his early days and of course Marx is the philosopher Obama has studied. Hegel said absolute freedom is when all decisions are made in total accordance of the universal dictates of the state. This is the fundamental transformation we were promised, this is the fundamental transformation to bring about equality and social justice.
