The problem is that there are two factions with goals that are completely opposite of each other. In the first 150 to 160 years of our republic we had for the most part two parties with the same ultimate goal; they just had different ideas on how to reach the goal. When the ultimate goal is the same, compromise on methods of attaining the goal work and might even be the best course in some situations.
When goals are completely opposite of each other, compromise is not a part of the equation. If one party wants to go west and the other wants to go east, how do you compromise? This is our situation today. We call our two main factions in America today Republicans and Democrats. These terms are meaningless. In fact the two main factions in America today are Freedom Loving Americans (FLA) and Marxist/Progressives (M/P).
The FLA believe in the concepts of individualism, opportunity, independence, rule of law, small government, divided government, rule by the people. These are the same concepts that were paramount when the foundation of our Judeo/Christian based country was established. The people of the FLA are often referred to as conservatives and constitutionally based believers.
The M/P’s believe in the opposite. They believe in community which means total conformity and equality in all aspects of life, equal and guaranteed outcome, dependence on government, arbitrary law under a totalitarian state, large domineering government, centralized government, and the abolishing of all morality and religion. These people call themselves progressives and disdain the constitution.
What the M/P’s advocate is what the founders wished to prevent when they established our country. There is no compromise when one faction wishes to maintain the principles of freedom and self-rule, and the other faction wants a totalitarian state with a totally conforming and equal society.
Until those who advocate the position of the Freedom Loving Americans are willing to start to live in the real world by refusing to adhere to the politically correct society advocated by the M/P’s, by refusing to play the game of oppressor versus oppressed as advocated by the M/P’s which is tearing apart our country, and are willing to assume the spirit of the founders who were willing to sacrifice all for freedom, the United States will continue down the evil and destructive path that Obama, Jarrett, Schumer, De Blasio, Sharpton, and the other Marxist/Progressives are taking us. This path will end, as have all societies who followed the false promise of hope and change; a society of division, destitution, despair, and dependence for all but the few elite.
