Our next president must have the same love for freedom, the same belief in people, and the wisdom and vision of our founders. Our founders established a unique government, the likes of which had never been tried before. They did so to protect that freedom that was won by the people in whom they placed so much trust and faith.
Our founders said this new nation will be a nation under rule of law where all are equal and the same laws apply to all. This new nation, they said, will be a nation of limited government, of divided government, and it will be a nation where the sovereign is the people and those in government are the servants.
The founders understood that big government and centralized government always takes away from the potential of a nation by restricting the potential of the individual. Our founders also understood that a free and self-reliant individual is a creative and energetic individual who will strive to reach their full potential. The founders further understood that a person who relies on government never strives and thus never scratches the surface of their potential. Totalitarian states strive to make people government reliant while free states have self-reliant people.
The problems our nation faces today are not problems created by the people; they are problems created by people in government who lack the vision and wisdom of our founders. These problems have been brought about by people who have placed their faith in government and made our nation a government reliant nation. Our founders understood if this were ever to happen, the nation they had founded would become a nation of arbitrary law, of big government, of centralized government, and a government that was sovereign. Our founders knew that we would then be a nation transitioning from a free state to a socialistic and totalitarian state.
If elected, I will be a leader that will have learned from the wisdom and vision of our founders. It was that wisdom and vision that propelled the nation they founded, The United States of America, into the greatest, most powerful, and most generous nation the world has ever seen. This was not done by or because of a dominating government, but it was done on the backs of a free people, who when given the opportunity to reach their full potential, dreamed great dreams and achieved beyond those dreams.
It will be my duty and my goal as president to again have a nation under rule of law where all are under the same law and lady justice again is blindfolded. It will be my duty and my goal as president to limit the government to its constitutional limitations with the states and the people reclaiming the powers that are rightfully theirs such as education. It will be my duty and my goal to again have a divided government. I as the president will vow to all Americans today that I will be faithful to the United States Constitution and will not assume powers that are not provided by that instrument. The other branches of government will be expected to do the same including fulling their constitutional obligations as well.
It will be my duty and my goal as president to honor the people as sovereign and insist that all people in government understand that they are the servants of the sovereign. I will have an order to these servants ready for signature on the first day I enter the oval office that says any servant who goes before their sovereign, the people of the United States or their representatives, and does not answer questions completely and truthfully, they will be terminated from their position as servant.
My commitment to the American people will be the same as the commitment made by our founders to the American people. The function of government is to secure you from enemies foreign and domestic and to free you, the citizens of this nation, to dream big dreams and ensure you have the freedom to reach those dreams and beyond. Once again you will have a president who believes the future of this nation is based on the greatness of its people and not the bigness or dominance of government.
