Under rule of law the laws are established by a previously arranged process and the laws are set so all know what is expected. A previously arranged process must be followed to change or abolish a law. If a law is violated, the violator is help accountable regardless of his station in life or his position in the government.
Arbitrary law is at the whim of an individual or a certain group of individuals. No process has been established for making law or changing law other than an individual decides for whatever reason the law should be established or changed. Citizens are not certain as to what the law is. Different groups are treated differently. In this system, laws are made for the purpose or pleasure of the ruling group.
Historically, in a free democracy or republic, the rule of law exists. In a totalitarian state arbitrary law exists. This must be. In a free society no one person or group can be or is considered above the law. All public servants govern for the benefit of the people. In a totalitarian state one person or one group is considered above the law. All public rulers govern for their benefit and the people are their servants.
When one person can change the immigration law, the environmental laws and the health care law because they want to and are not held accountable, the nation is becoming a totalitarian state. When people who are in theory public servants, will go before the representatives of the people and intentionally mislead and blatantly lie, and they are not held accountable for their actions, they are no longer public servants but rulers. That means the nation is that much closer to being a totalitarian state.
Freedom loving Americans, this is our nation as well. It is up to us to keep it a free nation and not let it become a totalitarian state. We must learn and understand the Marxist philosophy that is driving Obama and expose him and his fellow Marxists. It will take a great deal of effort and dedication, but it must be done or he will complete the fundamental transformation he promised; that is transforming the United States from a free capitalist society to a socially just classless society under a totalitarian state ruled by the dictatorship of the proletariat.
