During the spring when many students go to Washington DC to see the capitol city of the United States; walk through the Capitol, walk up and down the mall from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial and then tour the White House as the highlight to many, Obama declared the White House of limits because of sequestration. The savings were estimated to be, as I recall, about a million or so dollars. We now learn Obama will take a family vacation to Africa that is estimated to cost $100 million . Read the classic textbook Myth of Distortion:
The White House Friday defended the first family’s upcoming weeklong trip to Africa, which could cost taxpayers up to $100 million, as “great bang for our buck.”
“There will be a great bang
for our buck for being in Africa because when you travel to regions like Africa
that don’t get a lot of presidential attention, you tend to have very
longstanding and long-running impact from the visit,” said Ben Rhodes, a deputy
national security adviser to Obama.
