“I think they made a mistake,” he said at his year-end news conference at the White House. Later, he added, “I wish they’d spoken to me first. I would have told them: Do not get into the pattern in which you are intimidated.”
The company’s decision not to release the movie sets a bad precedent, Obama suggested.
“We cannot have a society in which a dictator in some place can start imposing censorship in the United States,” he said. If a leader like North Korea’s Kim Jong Un is able to inspire such concern over a “satirical movie,” he said, “imagine what they start doing” with undesirable documentaries or news reports.
WOW!!!!!!! Can you believe it? Obama said “do not get into a pattern in which you are intimidated.” When in the last six years has a dictator not intimidated Obama? I do not recall an instance where Obama has not backed down from threats from dictators, rogue nations, and enemies of the United States. Putin has intimidated and is intimidating Obama. Assad has intimidated Obama from his line in the sand. Iran has intimidated Obama. ISIS is intimidating Obama. Apparently Castro intimidated Obama. Every enemy of America has intimidated Obama. I do not believe for one minute if North Korea had been threatening the United States Government, Obama would have done the same thing Sony did; capitulate. Sony was just following the example of Obama.
We know what North Korea would do with undesirable documentaries. The same thing the Jihadists – yes Obama Jihadists are terrorists and they are Muslim – have done with undesirable documentaries, comic strips, articles or anything else they do not like. What has Obama done but do everything in his power to stop citizens of the United States from presenting such material. Oh it is so easy for Obama to be big and brave when he is not making the actual decision. Sony did exactly what Obama has done.
