"You lie!" Rep. Joe Wilson shouted from his seat in the house chamber.. The incident came directly after Obama said, "There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally." Wilson's shout drew immediate condemnation. The condemnation came from all quarters. Of course what was not mentioned was whether or not Joe Wilson was correct.
John McCain said Wilson's behavior was "totally disrespectful. There is no place for it in that setting, or any other, and he should apologize for it immediately."
Dick Durbin called it "crude and disrespectful."
Jim Clyburn, also of South Carolina, said Wilson "went beyond heckling."
"That was probably one of the most-insulting things I've ever seen," Clyburn told FOX News. "The people of South Carolina are not well-served by that."
Steny Hoyer said "I have never in my 29 years heard an outburst of that nature with reference to a president of the United States speaking as a guest of the House and Senate."
What Joe Wilson said was the truth. Obama, who is a known and documented liar many times over, lied to the Congress and the American People when he made that statement.
In a joint town hall the other day Obama made a pledge that his administration will not use Obamacare sign up data to deport illegal aliens. Do you recall in the speech to congress Obama said, "There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally." Which is correct, Obama? It looks like Joe Wilson was correct and again you were lying.
The whole nation including Obama, McCain, Durbin, Clyburn and Hoyer owes Joe Wilson not only an apology, but a big thank you.
