A recent survey found that only 36 percent of respondents – just over a third – were able to accurately identify all three branches of the U.S. government: legislative, executive and judicial. As much as 35 percent could not name any, while 13 percent could name only one and 16 percent could name only two.
Asked how much of a majority was required for Congress to override a presidential veto, 47 percent answered that they did not know, while another 26 percent answered incorrectly. Only 27 percent knew the correct answer – a two-thirds majority.
Overall, respondents did better when asked which branch of government has the final responsibility for deciding whether laws are constitutional. A full 62 percent correctly answered the Supreme Court, while 17 percent incorrectly said Congress, and 12 percent said the president. A further 8 percent were unsure. (It should be noted that the Constitution does not explicitly nor does it eve imply that the Supreme Court has this power. All three branches are equal with checks and balances. No branch, according to the Constitution has dictatorial powers over another.)
Perhaps most relevant for elections season, the survey found that fewer than half of respondents knew which political parties control the House and the Senate. When asked which party controls the House of Representatives, only 38 percent correctly answered Republicans. A further 44 percent were unsure, and 17 percent incorrectly answered Democrats.
Karl Marx was a strong proponent of a state controlled educational system. Marx understood that when the Marxist totalitarian state had control over what children were being taught, they could be indoctrinated into believing that Socialism and Marxism were superior to capitalism and freedom. Lenin, Hitler, and all other socialists have practiced this concept.
The Marxists understand that people who have thoughts different from theirs must be prevented from expressing those thoughts. In many Marxist totalitarian states people are not only prevented from expressing their beliefs, they are eliminated because they did so.
The Revolutionary War was fought so freedom of speech and thought would be protected. Our founders understood that the strength of a free society rested in the freedom to have differences and the freedom to express those differences. “I disagree with you but will die to protect your right to express your thoughts,” is the basic element on which freedom thrives. In a free society, the existence of the fringes is critical. It keeps society as a whole balanced.
This is why the Marxists (Democrats, Teacher Unions, and the Department of Education) do not want American history and government taught. They want social justice, sex education, and multiculturalism taught so all will conform to their way of thinking. Marx said all must conform and all must be equal in our classless society. Differences cannot be tolerated.
This indoctrination of the last several generations has brought us to the point of the Marxists/Progressives (Democrats) not only insisting on conformity of thought, but they are now also advocating limiting who can hold office to those who conform to their way of thinking. This is truly a classless society ruled by Dictatorship of the Proletariat as called for by Marx.
Climate deniers should not be allowed to hold public office, Leonardo DiCaprio has said in a thinly-veiled attack on Donald Trump, staged in co-ordination with the Obama administration.
Speaking on a platform at the inaugural South By South Lawn event at the White House with President Obama and alarmist scientist Katharine Hayhoe, DiCaprio told his enraptured audience:
“The scientific consensus is in and the argument is now over. If you do not believe in climate change, you do not believe in facts, or in science or empirical truths and therefore, in my humble opinion, should not be allowed to hold public office.”
This Marxist declaration was uttered in the presence of the President of the United States and agreed to by him. This Marxist declaration was uttered at an event at the White House. This Marxist declaration shows the failure of our education system. This Marxist declaration shows how ignorant, not only the speaker but also those in agreement, are of the very basic issues as to why the Revolutionary War was fought. This Marxist declaration shows that a large segment of Americans identifies much closer to the philosophy of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, Mao, Castro, Hitler, Stalin, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, and Frank Marshal Davis than they do with the philosophy of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Sam Adams, Patrick Henry, Grover Cleveland, Calvin Coolidge, Ronald Reagan, and all Freedom Loving Americans.
The divide is great and becoming greater. The Marxists understand; education that teaches people to think, freedom of thought and speech, and the United States Constitution that protects freedom, are the biggest threats to their stated desire to fundamentally transform the United States into a Marxist totalitarian state with a totally conforming and equal classless society.
No Clause in the United States Constitution states or implies that an American can be prevented from holding office simply because they disagree with somebody or something. This is critical to a free society. It cannot be tolerated in a totalitarian state. That is why Obama supported and agreed with the fool who uttered the Marxist declaration.
