The Obama regime is moving forward with regulations designed to help reform America’s wealthier neighborhoods, drawing fire from critics who decry the proposal as executive overreach in search of an “unrealistic utopia.”
A final Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rule due out this month is aimed at ending decades of what they refer to as deep-rooted segregation around the country.
The regulations would use grant money as an incentive for communities to build affordable housing in more affluent areas while also taking steps to upgrade poorer areas with better schools, parks, libraries, grocery stores and transportation routes as part of a gentrification of those communities.
“HUD is working with communities across the country to fulfill the promise of equal opportunity for all,” a HUD spokeswoman said. “The proposed policy seeks to break down barriers to access to opportunity in communities supported by HUD funds.”
This is a relocation policy to achieve Marxist/Progressive goals of ending diversification and choice.
Bernie Sanders (self-proclaimed socialist) wants to give Americans a paid vacation, as part a "family values" agenda he outlined Thursday.
Sanders, who is running for the Marxist/Progressive presidential nomination, said he is introducing a bill, the Guaranteed Paid Vacation Act, that would give 10 days of paid vacation to every employee that had worked for an employer for at least one year. The legislation would apply to employers with at least 15 employees.
"What family values are about is that at least for two weeks a year, people can come together under a relaxed environment and enjoy the family," Sanders said from the Senate floor. "That is a family value that I want to see happen in this country."
The legislation is part of the senator's "family values agenda." As part of the agenda, he also backed legislation that would give an employee 12 weeks of paid leave if they have a child or serious medical condition, as well as a separate bill that would give workers up to seven paid sick days.
On his support for paid sick leave, Sanders added, "I am not crazy about the idea of somebody who is sick coming to work, preparing the food that I eat in a restaurant."
This is the idea of the Marxist/Progressives controlling all decisions of commerce. According to the Marxist/Progressives, the government is the one that runs the business.
Somebody, please tell me, where in the United States Constitution does it give the government the authority to dictate who lives in which neighborhood and what fringe benefits the employer must extend to the employees. Both of these ideas again restrict individual freedom and give more control to the government. This is transforming the United States from a free society to a totalitarian Marxist state.
