The Marxists have learned that as long as they tell people that the people are not responsible for their own circumstances, they will find a willing audience that will cast their votes for these enablers. These Marxists have learned that they can lie to the people and tell them that the assets one person has were acquired at the expense of another person. In the Socialist economy these Marxists are promoting; that claim has some validity. However, in a capitalist economy, that claim is false and misleading. Nevertheless, Marx used it all the time as did Lenin, Mao, Castro, Chavez, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, and now Obama and Hillary.
In a capitalist economy we have learned that wealth is infinite. Wealth is created. There is no limit to wealth as a society or as an individual so long as both are not curtailed by punitive taxes and government regulation. The Marxist program is to tax on a steeply progressive basis for punitive purposes and to regulate so as to control private production into operating as if it were state owned. Chavez did this very thing in Venezuela. It is exactly what all other socialist states have done and is exactly what the Marxist/Progressives in the United States are advocating including Obama and Hillary.
We know the results of these actions in the former Soviet Bloc, China while it operated on the Marxist economic model, and Cuba. All citizens suffered under this socialist system advocated by Obama and Hillary. We have seen the devastation that has taken place in Venezuela; a system that was praised and lauded by many American Marxists including Obama.
This is what “hope and change” and fundamental transformation has done for the people of Venezuela. Venezuela has largely run out of food. It has also run out of medicine and basics like toilet paper, soap, and laundry detergent. The situation has become so dire after 17 years of socialist rule, it is reported, that Venezuelans with the means to do so are now traveling to the United States just to stock up on food and toilet paper.
The average Venezuelan’s struggle to find three meals a day has also developed into the threat of famine. A June survey found that 90 percent of Venezuelans do not have enough money for three meals a day; a poll in September found that 15 percent of Venezuelans are living off of garbage thrown away by local businesses.
Children fainting in class because of hunger has become a common sight, and an estimated 48 percent of school absences are attributed to hunger, according to a survey by the firm More Consulting.
The decline has triggered violence. Mobs regularly attack supermarkets and trucks transporting food, and fights in supermarket lines — which can last up to eight hours — are common. In Venezuela’s border communities, tens of thousands congregate, demanding to be let through to neighboring Colombia, where markets can regularly restock their shelves.
Nicolás Maduro, the successor to Chavez, has done little to address the hunger. He blames the economic circumstances of the nation on the United States and has gone so far as to make lewd jokes about the famine, which Venezuelans have nicknamed “Maduro’s diet,” on national television.
Venezuela is every other country that has followed the road advocated by the Marxist/Progressives in the United States, including Obama and Hillary. We have constantly heard from them that the United States needs a more punitive tax system and has to control the evil and greedy businesses. Regulations on Untied States business is choking startup businesses to the point that we know have many more businesses going out of business than start.
History has proven that a far less punitive tax code in fact increases government revenues. Yes, lower tax rates and less regulation has proven to greatly increase government revenue. When business is free to grow and produce, good paying jobs are created, business startups greatly increase, and wealth is created. When wealth is created, all have more, incomes increase and government revenues increase.
The colonists in Jamestown and Plymouth learned this. Because they learned this very critical lesson, they were able to survive and then flourish. Our founders understood the validity of this truth. It propelled those colonies of Jamestown and Plymouth into a nation that grew and flourished into the most prosperous nation in history.
Now we have the Collectivists (Marxists, Progressives, Democrats, Leftists, Socialists) telling us how socially unfair that system adopted by the founders is. These Collectivists have promised us “hope and change” and to fundamentally transform the United States. This “hope and change” and fundamental transformation will lead the United States to the same place it has taken Venezuela; it always has and always will.
