Saul Alinsky, a person we know Obama studied, has a chapter in his book “Rules for Radicals” he entitled “A Word about Words.” He explains the importance of words by quoting Mark Twain when Mark Twain wrote, “The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lighting and lighting bug.” One of the words Alinsky uses as an example of meanings it conveys is compromise. Alinsky says, and I would concur that compromise carries with it a concept of weakness. Over the last several debates that were to take place, Obama has consistently stated he would not compromise. He has stated this more and more as polls reflect the American people believe him to not only be a liar, but also believe him to be weak.
The Marxist/Progressives name things to be different from what they are to fit their needs. The expensive and intrusive health care law that was passed was named the Affordable Health Care Act. The only word in the title that has any accuracy is the word “Act” for that is just what it was. Its passage was an irresponsible act and an act of negligence. The Internal Retaliate Service is warning Americans they must participate in this albatross or face the strong arm of the law. Then they say if any American expresses his freedom and does not participate, he will face a “shared responsibility fine.” That is a tax.
Early in his regime, Obama had passed a huge redistribution bill he called a stimulus. It was called the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The only accurate words were act of 2009. It did not produce recovery. Reinvestment was paying Obama contributors for their political contributions with a tremendous return on investment. Obama laughed about the fact that there were no shovel ready jobs at the time and he knew it, yet lied about shovel ready jobs the same way he lied about keeping your health plan and doctor.
Then we are given the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. What we have learned is Reform and Protection means more bureaucracy with more regulations. We have also learned the act meant fewer banks. Many smaller banks are no longer because of the high cost of obeying the regulations. So what we have is more protection for the large banks and less consumer choice.
Words are used to deceive and deceivers use words for that purpose. Marxist/Progressives have always been very adept at misleading with words, and Obama and his henchmen are experts.
