I was listening to a congressional hearing where the President of True the Vote was a witness. She explained she had never been visited in 20 years of doing business by any federal agency. After she filed with the IRS for tax exempt status for True the Vote, her and her husband’s personal business has been visited 15 different times by four different federal agencies in less than three years. Conley, Marxist/Progressive Congressman from Virginia said this was just a coincidence. Cummings, Marxist/Progressive Congressman from South Carolina wanted to focus on the OSHA visit and ignore the other visits by the other federal agencies. Of course there is a legitimate reason to understand Cummings anxiety since it is legitimate to believe that it was Cummings who was instrumental in having the federal agencies come down on this private citizen.
We now find out that Obama, head of the regime and Marxist/Progressives stated over the week-end that as President he can do whatever he wants. The sad thing is that he is and nobody, Congress or the Supreme Court is questioning under what authority is he rewriting laws and ignoring Congress.
The dumbest statement this week-end has to go to Keith Ellison, Marxist/Progressive congressman from Minnesota. The discussion was about the 2.5 million plus jobs that will be lost due to Obamacare. Ellison countered that the CBO report on the reduction of hours worked means, "We are going to have parents being able to come home, working reasonable hours. People are going to be able to retire. People might actually be able to cook dinner rather than have to order out and get some takeout."
He added: "If you look at international comparisons country by country, Americans work way more that the average of industrialized countries around the world."
He said the report showing fewer work hours gives us the chance "to look at our work/life balance," which he described as "a great opportunity."
These are actual statements made by people who hold positions of great responsibility. And we wonder why the United States is in bankruptcy, has a floundering economy and is creating a country that resembles Greece.
